Lorelle: Soft Cell also had this minor hit which got a whole lotta airplay on KROQ in SoCal in the early 1980s (along with Sex Dwarf). I think it's much better than Tainted Love."Oh shiat...you've forgotten the rubber"
Di Atribe: What the hell kind of radio stations does this author listen to?
Di Atribe: U2 has been pigeonholed by Mysterious Ways? On what planet? Losing My Religion is overplayed? And when I think of The Clash, I think of Rock the Casbah. What the hell kind of radio stations does this author listen to?
kiteless: Man in the Box^ThisOne of the reasons I stopped listening to FM radio. WOULD? it hurt you to play other AIC songs?/I'm looking at you X96
ZAZ: #2: "Tiny Dancer" - Elton JohnNot overplayed in my experience. Like "Comfortably Numb" it is good enough to survive the airplay it gets.If you want an overplayed Elton John pick either "Empty Garden" or his Diana tribute. I mention the first because I was a teenager in 1980-1982 and overdosed on the John Lennon nostalgia forced over the airwaves.
Di Atribe: U2 has been pigeonholed by Mysterious Ways? On what planet?
Third_Uncle_Eno: Also, Phil Collins solo era could be divided into three groups of songs: bitter, dark ballads: "In the air tonight", " "I don't care anymore", "do you know, do you care", "take me home", (and downright creepy: "thru these walls"), syrupy ballads: "one more night", "if leaving me is easy", "we said hello goodbye", and cheesy pop: "susudio", "you can't hurry love", etc.plus all the ones that are uncategorizable: "droned", "hand in hand", "long long way to go"
Boc: No radiohead creep? Had to say it meh.
Boc: No radiohead creep? Had to say it meh.As for alice in chains...Back when i worked for a terrible retail company durring night shift hours back before they shut off the store fm radio completely I didn't hear man in the box nearly as much as i heard rooster or no excuses.Far as U2 goes ...only song that exist to me.
elwood1972: Over played?? How about anything by Led Zeppelin.
FeedTheCollapse: I don't think I've heard Mysterious Ways on the radio since it was a new song, or at least not nearly as often as some of U2's other tracks.
kiteless: Why haven't I ever bought a U2 cd? I don't need to. Jump around the stations, you will find ANY one of their songs playing somewhere.
ThatGuyGreg: The real question here is why in the blue fark are you people still listening to FM radio?
