I work for Publix, so I'm getting a kick, etc., etc....... We pretty much own the Florida grocery market for anyone who cares about the quality of their food. Wal-Mart has a big piece of the market, but really, a Florida Wal-Mart is a soulless, filthy, whore mongering kind of place. We keep our stores clean, food fresh and associates happy to serve you. 14 years on the top 100 best places to work list. About the same on the best places to work in IT, for moms, and other such lists.

And thank you for shopping at Publix, where shopping is a pleasure.

Mrtraveler01: I thought Winn-Dixie was the white trash version of Publix?

Guess I got my stereotypes mixed up.

No, you've got it right. At least it's that way down here in SWFL. It's not so much the store itself, but the folks who shop there. Brings to mind the movie "Deliverance".

"At Fairsley, you can shop comfortably, knowing your children will not be abducted, then shipped off to a Pakistani whorehouse where they'll spend the rest of their lives in homoerotic servitude."

I didn't realize Winn-Dixie still existed.
