No shiat, being able to cook and cook well has consistently gotten me tail that should be out of my league. What is with the wine pairing bullshiat, sure certain wines can go well with certain dishes but really drink what you want. If you like the taste of the wine you'll like it with pretty much anything.

I do find myself turned off by adults who eat like 3 year olds. Can still remember sitting across from a guy who whined and picked EVERY single vegetable off the plate. I mean a few sauteed onions and peppers that you could barely see that were more a part of the sauce than anything else. He never even tasted anything to see if maybe he liked it. Nope, not even lettuce or tomato on a burger.

Dude would not eat a single vegetable or piece of fruit. No seafood, nothing ethnic. Basically beef, chicken, and potato dishes prepared as bland as possible. But lots of beer to wash it down.

What a complete turn off. I don't expect everyone to like every food and I am not looking to be impressed by someone eating fish eyeballs or cow brains but at least try a few new dishes once in a while. Geez! I mean it is chicken but just prepared with different spices or flavorings. I will taste any vegetable or fruit dish regardless of the cuisine or culture. I will try any dish with a main ingredient I am familiar with (beef, lamb, chicken, fish, shellfish) that is cooked in another style of cuisine.

But as far as food/beverage pairings I say drink whatever you like with the dish. I am more about the food than any beverage served with it.

If you are the person always looking for the steak or burger on the menu that is definitely a deal breaker.
