The lightning always comes first, followed some time later by the thunder, depending on distance.

Followed much later by the repeats, depending on the density of submitter and admins.

It was supposed to be a taser rifle, but they couldn't figure out how to downsize the power supply enough and figured upping the power level and vehicle mounting it was a suitable solution.

Isn't that how most cool stuff comes to be? Some smarter than average kid sees something in a movie or whatever and mutters that immortal question: "Wouldn't that be cool?" And either grows up trying to make it or looking for someone that can.

Since it looks like it's almost threatening to scratch the paint on that Ford Taurus, with a building-sized immobile power supply, i'm not too worried.
