Apparently Scientology doesn't cover grammar in that whole very expensive years-long training thing.

There have been so many of these threads the past week that it's hard to keep track of them all. Do you have the link or can you give me an idea as to what the original headline said so I can track it down?

Thanks

I looked a little. I might be wrong. I think it might just be a repeat of a yahoo article that I read.
So blurry .... so much scientology/TC/holmes.

Might be time to give it up cold turkey.

Someone suggested that the grammar was a watermark so that if/when the document was leaked, they would know who leaked it. The mistakes are really odd, and any decent programmer could knock out something to e-mail a unique copy to everyone on a list pretty quickly.

It's okay, so no worries. Considering all the Scientology/TC/Katie Holmes threads that fark has had this week, greenlit or not, it's not hard to think that some of them are repeats. After awhile they all seem to blur together, just as you said. I'm having trouble keeping track of all of them myself.

They want to muscle google into making people agree to click a code of conduct that will be aimed at people not getting their feelings hurt? I'm sure that's going to happen any day now.

Considering this cult is responsable for the largest criminal infiltration of the Government in American History, Operation Snow White, they just might be able to do it.

Dear In Christ,

I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to
you. God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth. Based on this scripture, it became obvious that I
should do the right thing if I must enter into the kingdom of God.I am

killed during the last London Bomb attacks.
Before his death,Mr.Malik ABdul Rakim Hassan made a Fixed Deposit with
a vault bank for Six months, (being Last Month) valued at
US$60,000,000.00, (Sixty Million, Dollars) According to Mr.Malik ABdul
Rakim Hassan, the fund was for donation to Muslim converts in Pakistan
to do the work of God since he just converted to Christinity Before
his untimely death. Mr.Malik ABdul Rakim Hassan did not declare any
next of kin or relations in all his official documents.
According to the WILL, his assets should be given out to a ministry
for the work of God. As his legal adviser, all the documents for the
fund that are deposited with the Vault company are in my care. As a
born again Christian , I have been reading my bible and I have to do
what is lawful and right in the sight of God by giving out the fund to
the
chosen ministry for the purpose of God's work as instructed by the
owners before there death. After my fasting and prayers Today, I asked
God to make his choice and direct me to a honest Christian or the
chosen ministry that deserves this fund by his Grace. I then came
across your address on the Internet.I pray that God will give us the
wisdom of King Solomon to use these funds for things that will glorify
the name of God.
May God bless you as you make up your mind to work for God.Do get back
to me with your complete particulars so that we can proceed in

Sounds like it was written by someone who speaks English as a second language. "Datum??" "If there are such abuse of...?" "...is to not 'threatens, defames, degrades...'??" Wth??

I really wish scientology could be the lightning rod to spark a real conversation as to why oh why we let ANY church have tax exempt status. It'd be one thing if itemized expenditures on charitable endeavors were tax-credited, but an entire organization tax-exempt on the basis of belief in the supernatural?

Fer fark's sake.

But this time they are trying to take on the whole internet community and delete every single comment that is negative about Scientology. When someone tries to take on the internet, always bet on the internet. I see Anonymous and /b/ having fun with this one.

Precisely, Scientology vs. The Internet has happened before. You yourself mentioned Anonymous, who did their best to give Scientology a hard time. I don't think it had a lasting effect on their operations, though. This is just my impression and I don't have much to back it up, but I don't have the feeling public controversy and outrage has done much to substantially weaken the cult.

They make me giggle. Like Mormons, so sincere in their belief, against all odds of those beliefs ever appearing rational. Actually, like religion in general I guess, but something about their earnest nature...

At any rate. Does anyone know how to use "hatting" correctly in a sentence? What is a "hatting"?

Because inquiring minds want to mock.

Hetfield: but I don't have the feeling public controversy and outrage has done much to substantially weaken the cult.

Maybe not but it's pissing them off because they're so used to silencing people by suing or threatening them and they can't do that to people on the internet. So their thetans are all pissy. So as someone who used to have to see these people around Clearwater all the time, it makes my dynamics happy.

I seem to recall Anonymous has this thing about not being anyone's personal army. Where it might seem like Scientology is setting themselves up to be smacked by Anonymous again, they could just as easily ignore them and plaster some third-rate actresses naked photos all over the place.

voodoohotdog: What is a "hatting"?

and according to the article, "hattin" is scientology-speak that refers to "teaching someone a trick to be able to perform a task for the cult"

In this case, the "hattin" consists of teaching the cult's plants to manipulate service providers to censor anti-scientology reports.

I think this was a popular term during turn-of-the-century Jolly England. Rogue groups of public school boys would roam the streets placing a hat on their object of derision. Thus the term "hatting" was coined.

It wasn't until decades later in Compton, CA that the term "drive-by hatting" came into use.

Never cared for cruise's work. Always thought he seemed like a bit of a doofus with small man syndrome, and he certainly has dug himself some holes, but i find myself feeling sorry for the Guy lately. Wouldn't wish the press/internet bashing he gets on anyone (maybe penis Cheney) i predict a weird suicide/disappearance with t.c. at some point. At least some kind of epic meltdown. *leave Tom alone!*
