Frank Ocean is out as of a couple days ago, so I wouldn't expect any top 40 play.

Hasn't a followup to 3030 been "confirmed" for years? Where is it already?

That and a real follow-up to Dr. Octagonecologyst. And a sequel to "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By" [not rap but an Automator gig, farking phenomenal album especially if you're already a fan of Mike Patton].

Where IS Automator nowadays?

I went to an Atmosphere show once. It was a joke, he stopped the show twice because he was trying to look women into the eyes who were near the stage. "yo, when I look at you I'm trying to make a connection, do not look away!" No creeper, you're trying to find some back stage ass after the show.

If you liked that, there's also a Dub Kweli project by the same guy (Max Tannone). Click "projects" at the top of the page. He also did Jaydiohead (Jay-Z / Radiohead). He's got an awesome Beastie Boys album there too (took all the instrumental stuff the Beasties did an dmixed it with acapella tracks of Beastie Boys). Tannone is pretty awesome.

i pity fools that stay stuck in a genre that died long ago. people- should be out making the scene, creating the next sound, building a following for your creative outlet. play your own original sounds. no need to live in yesterday.

Release date for Deltron 3030 is September:

http://consequenceofsound.net/2012/06/deltron-3030s-new-album-to-be-r e leased-in-september/

There was kind of a follow up to Dr. Octagon, that went under the name Nogatco Rd (Dr. Octgaon backwards) that Kool Keith put out. There is another album called the return of Dr. Octagon but do not get that one, not his album.

Yeah I try to keep damn good care of my rare-r musics for that exact reason. $44 is absurd for a CD. I think I got mine at Rasputin's in either Berkeley or SF years ago, sealed, for the regular sticker price. God I love that place

Yeah - I got to see Max DJ a set here in town, he was a really nice guy. While you're on his site definitely check out the "Ghostfunk" mashup - '70s African funk records mixed with Ghostface Killah's rhymes. It's good stuff.

I threw up in my mouth when I read this. Del has been around for 20 years (and actually making good music) and is a class above the hack known as Lil Wayne.
