I don't give a rat's azz what the Songs Of The Summer!!!! are. I can't remember the last year/decade I cared.

Do people go into sports threads and say "I don't give a rat's azz who wins the Super Bowl!!!! I can't remember the last year I cared."

If you don't give a sh*t then why post? We don't care that you don't care. Do you care that I don't care about sports? Exactly.

I thought this was a thread about Bananarama, leaving disappointed.

Sorry subby, but Slicing Up Eyeballs has the greatest mixed tapes on the web.

I don't need new mixtapes. I didn't make mistakes when I made the mixtapes I already have.

Too hip for me. Only band I know there is Yeasayer, and something being free isn't a draw for me to try it out. That's how I got on heroin.

Best thing about the link was the video clip on the bottom regarding dumbasses and fireworks.

Why? Soundclick - not only do I get most of my tunes free but I get to chat with the artists, find out how they recorded bits of a song if I'm curious, and if you're not a douche get advice on improving your own music. Lots of hobbyists, but I'd rather listen to a song that isn't quite as polished but made by a real person, not a 'studio'.

Plus you get to rattle off the names of REALLY obscure bands in Fark threads, and isn't that the point of music? ;)

nah, bro. I hear that isht all the time on the DirecTV "college rock" station (honest to god, I love that isht!) and this is pretty ok, but not making my short list.

/"sidewalk safari", "night swimming" are. Oh, and they play Bjorks "Crystalline" which wails with massiv breakbeats at the end.
//kinda like Warpaint a bit, too. Chick singers... what can ya do?!

I also get most of my music 'free', and don't care a shiat about the artists, how they did whatever, and if they could improve MY music it would be some kind of miracle.

I listen to the radio. Or Spotify. Or Pandora.

kroonermanblack: I listen to the radio.

WTF are you listening to?! I haven't heard good 'radio' in over a decade, and that even includes the time when I was a DJ and station manager of a college radio station!

/ok, ok, my shows ROCK'D THE CASBAH, but everything else sucked...
//Hi, my name is Mekka B, I'm an elitist prick, but I'm looking for new music.

I listened to them all. They were awful. There were no exceptions. Some were less awful than others, but they were all awful.

2012-07-06 11:34:35 PM
Yeah, with very few exceptions, any band that doesn't have a recording deal probably sucks.

I have yet to hear a song from an unknown band that was any good. I mean, any band that is ANY good is going to get scooped up by a label almost immediately, these days. If you aren't getting signed, it's because you're crap.

2012-07-07 02:56:25 AM
Ask what I'm listening to, and I'll make up bands on the spot. Ultimate indy cred; you've probably "never heard of them", indeed.

Seconded. Every mixtape they put out makes me yearn that much more for more albums from all those bands.
