While this was amusing, I'm always kind of weirded out that so there is always someone recording video of every single thing that happens on t.v. (I mean people at home. Not the channel itself.) I can see this if it's a major sporting event and your favorite team is about to win and you want to be able to relive the moment, but to record the local news just seems sad

That was the sound of her starting a Scanners fight.

Probably had it on DVR. Just rewind it, get the cameraphone, hit play, and record it.

That "Tivo" thing is never gonna take off, no one will use it.

Because I already had him.

That's right, kids. I already had him.

Hopefully not in the news department, because that would be sad.

It's CFNews13. They repeat their (recorded) broadcast 3 times an hour. All you have to do is wait 20 minutes.

When I saw the clip, I thought of that movie and a chill went up my spine.

Nah, production. In all honesty, we live for moments like this.

Nah, I'd already sent my question in "What does a Geiger counter sound like?" and she was answering it... nothing to see here.

I love how they immediately switch to something else.

"We're sorry, our anchorwoman is experiencing technical difficulties."

If I was an anchorman and there was nothing on the promptor and they didn't cut away, I'd immediately say, "would you like to know more?"

/and promptly get fired

I once had a job training people not to do that, or say "um", when they ran out of things to say. True story.

My favourite newsperson fail:

Both these videos made love these newsladies. I like seeing tv news robots acting like real people once in awhile

Coolstorybro: A local news anchor lady here had to report on a story on one of her first days about some dead kids, and she got all choked up and had to fight back the tears. I could tell she was embarrassed at being so unprofessional, but it immediately made her my favourite news lady ever.

Actually, it really drove home the poignancy of the story. It would be awesome if news persons had to deliver bad new through sobs and tears.

True story, maybe. Good story, not so much.
