I did not know that was Patrick Leahy in the famous "Not sure if serious..." picture.

If I had the kind of power a Senator has, these are exactly the kinds of uses to which I would put it.

Good jorb, Senator.

Is there any word about that Keith Ledger being in this one?

Dammit, I thought for a sec that Kevin Conroy was going to be in the new movie.

/Maybe he could have taught Christian Bale how to stop rasping.

I'll second that, and "Heart of Ice" is one of the greatest episodes of any television show, ever, IMO.

Seriously. Kick backs, lobbyist dollars, lucrative post service contract jobs? Not for me. I want to do cool stuff.

Another vote for thinking Conroy. It would have been cool to have Conroy and Bale meet at some point. At least Nolan gave a nod to TAS when Batman had the white eyes when he turned on the sonar vision near the end of The Dark Knight.

The first two seasons of The Real Ghostbusters had very good writing for a children's show.

I completely concur, Heart of Ice is possibly the greatest 24 minutes of narrative storytelling in the animated media to ever exist.

It did.

But the writing on the very very short lived Silver Surfer was so over the heads of American kids that they pulled it from the air.

Also: The Tick and Sam and Max. Both awesome.

Just finished it on Netflix and it is farking awesome. I'm sure peoples will nitpick the animation, but it was 19-frickin-98. The writing is damn near Shakespeare. I said it, Shakespeare.

Indeed. "Heart of Ice" might be the single greatest 22 minutes of televisual animation ever.

When you pass laws written by the big movie studios, which benefit nobody but the big movie studios, then I'm sure you too will be rewarded with a bit part part in one of their movies along with the usual cash bribes.
