Breaking Bad could just as easily be AZ. The neighborhoods, the buildings, the people... could totally be phoenix.

the only thing theyd need to do would be to make the sister of the DEA guy a big haired SUV driving evangelical or mormon with 8" manicured nails and frosted hair who lives in scottsdale or fountain hills.

Its a little known fact that "Scottsdale" is a Hualapai word (one of the local indian tribes) meaning "place where McMansion living paleface woman drive Jesus-bumperstickered SUV to mall".
