Power "companies" are GOVERNMENT MONOPOLIES that are OVER-REGULATED. You liberals are such incredible douche bags. Seriously. Over-regulation and (again) lack of COMPETITION causes these problems. These power "companies" does a little as possible to maintain lines... why? UNIONS and GOVERNMENT REGULATION. If they faced COMPETITION, things would improve dramatically, because the MARKET would force them to innovate and improve or fall behind and eventually get run out by more ambitious, efficient COMPANIES.

It's amazing how so many of you incredibly shallow-thinking "government solves problems" dickwads can't see the forest here for the trees. You honest think socialism is the way to go. It boggles the rational mind that understands human nature and actual free market competition.

The only way to effectively improve performance and quality is through FREE MARKET COMPETITION. The Commerce Clause in the US CONSTITUTION (you really should read it sometime and stop being douche bags) was to prevent states from enacting trade barriers amongst themselves NOT TO GIVE THE GOVERNMENT POWER TO REGULATE ALL FORMS OF COMMERCE. Shame on you tools.
