cptjeff: T.M.S.: I have a dozen or so bottles of prohibition era whiskey that spent most of the past 90 years on the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. It tastes like shiat.

Prohibition era? The stuff was crap. There's a reason people started drowning it in Orange Juice- the only thing it had going for it was that it was alcoholic and available. The rums would have been okay, and some Canadian Whiskeys, but just about everything else was worse than rotgut.

findthefish: It's still 5 year old whiskey...but I don't know what almost 100 years in a hot attic would do to that, but I imagine it would not taste very good. No point in waiting....bust out a bottle then sell the rest.

TFA is right- if sealed properly, absolutely nothing. It would still be a 4-5 year old Bourbon, and probably none too great of one. But interesting because it's pre-prohibition, which did shift palettes and recipes. For one, it basically killed rye, which is only now starting to regain popularity. Pre prohibition, it was far more popular than Bourbon.

Rye so serious?

I would buy "concealed" or "hidden", but not "buried".

Still a cool find. Way better than the stupid old Dracula posters i found in my attic.

Did you have them assessed? Old movie posters can be worth $$$

No, but I have a buddy that I can call to take a look at them. I don't know alot about old posters.
