queezyweezel: Krymson Tyde: Sgt Otter: GAT_00: This woman and her amazing ability to say something so fundamentally stupid it just derails everything is fantastic. The Obama campaign must love her.

I liked her sob story about struggling through college, with only Mitt's dad's stock dividends to support them. "Sure we wanted nicer things, but that would have meant getting JOBS."

Who can't relate to that?

That must have been very difficult for both of them. I suggest we cut them some slack.

Are you serious? Our current Prez was born and raised in Kenya! That's hard core. These fools just don't know.

And his only nourishment was dog meat and communism, as he labored away all those years on the Muslim mustard fields. You can see it in his eyes, as he rolls his manifesto up, tucks it under his arm and clips that leash on Fido's. That's when you know. He's not taking that dog on a walk. He's taking it on its last walk. And the Marxist bongos beat on. That's what we're up against here.

I'm not so cynical that I think they heard rumor of some uber-fundie "no mormon is gonna be my president" whack job and decided to spin it early, but damn woman, you're not helping win swing voters.

//Guessing they'll be relying on the disenfranchising disproportionately affecting Democratic leaning voters to win in November.

If I have learned anything about American voters is that they don't like whiny crybabies and wimps. The only reason Kerry lost was they he didn't act like a winner.

Americans like success. If you act like a loser, they will bury you.

Diogenes: unlikely: Obama is, in fact, going to try to win. Yes. That's how politics work.

Did Romney's previous opponents not try to win?

Mitt takes all challenges as a personal insult. He is superior, so any challenge, opposition, or dissension is regarded as a hostile affront.

I don't often use the term, but the debates should be be epic. I hope Obama pushes his buttons until he snaps.

And that is really the issue. Mitt isn't getting killed by some "Liberal Media" but by his own ineptness as a candidate. And considering how long he's been campaigning you'd think he'd be better at it...

If I am doing a job, and I can't get a handle on things within a few months, I look to try something new. Mitt is just saying lines, and not even really caring much what he says, and somehow folks noticing this is their fault that he's a bad candidate without any real direction or purpose...

Since this would result in Romney being out of the picture and Biden being President, I could almost be OK with that.

Of course, it would be better if it happened without the killing, but sometimes you just have to take the best you can get.

Last August, Politico reported that the president's aides and advisers were preparing to center Obama's reelection campaign on a "ferocious personal attack" against Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney's record at private equity firm Bain Capital has been at the forefront of the Obama campaign ads, as well as ads by Priorities USA Action, the super PAC backing the president. The message in these ads repeatedly focuses on how Mitt Romney profited by driving companies into bankruptcy and putting Americans out of work.

Typical Democrats, launching a ferocious attack on someone who was simply giving a lot of Americans some well-deserved time off.

a) Obama is going after your husband hammer and tongs, just as your husband is going after him hammer and tongs. That's called "politics." Your whining is at best disingenuous, unless you actually believe your side deserves a special dispensation from precisely those tactics you plan on using against the Democrats, in which case ha ha ha fark you.

b) If you continue to intrude yourself into the political process you become fair game. Just letting you know, so it won't be such as surprise when your personal dirty laundry starts coming out. On the the hand, this could be Mitt's big chance to prove he's an actual human being if he pulls a Muskie. Of course, given your background and your husband's history with dogs, there will be no "Checkers" speech.

Ann Romney seems to think that pointing out Mitt made a fortune by dismantling American companies and firing workers, and thus may lack a sense of moral honesty and empathy needed in a president, counts as a personal attack. I don't want Obama condemning this attack because it's true, and it's relevant.

Of all of the places they could have chosen for the interview, why are they in a damn boat house? Mitt is SO bad at this. They should be in the kitchen, or the living room, or Mitt's office/den. In two rocking chairs on a porch (zoomed in so America doesn't see the opulence). What message could they be trying to convey from a boat house? Do the Romneys want us to think they spend a lot of time in there? Is that the room that had the most rustic looking chairs? They hate the press so much that they refuse to let a reporter into the main house? They thought that speaking from lake front garage for expensive toys would help the average voter to connect with them? But I guess they did have room to hang that flag back there, so it's all good...

If you've ever seen "The Clinton Death List" and "The Obama Death List," you might've noticed that the brilliant conspiracy theorists who compiled those lists included a guy named Gandy Baugh on both of them. Apparently, the Clintons killed him in the 90s, and Obama killed him in '03, so there's precedent for Obama resurrecting someone from the dead just for the sake of killing him a second time.

If I had less faith in politicians and the American public:

I'd guess their plan is to pick another Palin-esque firebrand as a running mate, and they want to get the story out there that they're like totally super afraid for their lives too, so that if their base gets so riled up that they start resorting to "Second Amendment Solutions" they can explain how both sides are bad, and they've been living in fear all year as well.

/ To be clear, I have NO faith in either politicians or the American public.
// Fortunately, I have great faith in the Secret Service... no matter who they're farking in their free time.
