Did you check row A55? I'm sure there's a team member near there that can help you. Meanwhile, I'm busy counting all these bonuses I earned this quarter.

I seriously doubt that... And what's the deal with 24-lanes but only 3 people working them?

The extra lanes are for the absolute heaviest of Xmas traffic, something which doesn't come close to being equaled during the rest of the year.

I love target ... I won't even go to a walmart anymore.

The only thing that pisses me off about Target is some stores don't have express lanes: WTF is up with that?

I said 'near', not there. Check aisle Q.

Touche. But I still get annoyed when there are only 3 lanes open with 4-deep lines in each one in the early evening during a weekday. But it's still waaay better than Wal Mart.

My cousin works at the target HQ up there too, so I should save my ire for her.

Dude, it's still miles better than Wal-Fart, where you have to wait at least an hour at peak times to check out. At Target, you might need to wait 5 minutes, ONOES.

Seriously, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to check out at Target. If lines are getting to be long, they'll put more people on, unlike Wal-Fart.

From what I've heard the further from Minneapolis you get the worse the stores get...around here you'd never see that. Something about douchy HQ people walking around all the time....

They are converting a ton of Zellers stores to Targets over the next few years here in Canada, I wonder if they will start to shorten that list if things get worse.

The reason for the lack is that someone at corporate needed a bonus and thus had to cut hours.

Either the GSTL had to leave the front for paperwork or the GSA is at lunch and an executive is suppose to be watching the front.

I might have had this experience in my past before.

Your comments are not exactly an endorsement for Target. If three clerks can handle peak rush times that's sad

The study these numbers were based on actually doesn't make the economy look all that bad. Same-store numbers are really inside-baseball type statistics that don't mean anything outside of a marketing context.

What the same-store numbers can't tell you is total economic improvement across the retail sector, which right now appears to be up 1.8% from last year, even including all the weird stuff they want to include. Not fabulous, but not slumpy either.

In the outer suburbs: yes. At least around here the suburban Targets don't seem to be doing much business. But any of the urban/inner-ring suburban stores are always pretty busy regardless of time and/or day.

What the heck are you doing where you get bonuses? Nobody on the IT side got bonuses.

Fark is a good place to browse while working at Target. I was able to alert management that Target.com was carrying a gay-teenage comic series (as mentioned on Fark). Amazon was running Target.com at the time and was not very careful about what showed up where.

What's wrong with a gay teenage comic series?

Nothing, now that I don't work there anymore.

The shiat at Target is getting pretty shoddy these days too. And the chicks working there aren't as hot as they used to be. Target has peaked.

I haven't noticed any deterioration of quality, but the chicks definitely aren't as hot as they used to be.
