Maybe we could teach GOP State Senators to sit, roll over, and play dead.

One should not have to rely upon the internet to tell you that your idea is farking retarded.

Don't worry, Marty - maybe you can still get Tom Jones to play you off.

So why do we care about a Junior State Senator from Brooklyn, also the second most junior Republican in the NY State Senate. In other words, how is the stupidity of a inconsequential politician who has been in his office less than 2 years, and a republican in NY to boot, relevant to anything

His predecessor had a degree from an ivy league university. This guy has an associates from a city college.

Pointy headed liberals.

That's why.

Some activists uninterested in proper etiquette even planned to attend, but now they will have to find a new activity that evening.

Update: They're still planning some sort of rally, so it seems they will have something to do after all.

That is some journalistic biatchery right there.

Now he'll have to find another way to prove he's totally hetero.

I am not sure who is the bigger dummy then - the guy who was employed below his abilities or the one who was employed @ his abilities.

//j/k, i applaud public service, except that which is done in politics by Republicans

Why is this guy in the Republican party when he sounds like a socialist using tax payer funds to do something the free market has been helping women with from at least the seventies.

Barbizon be a model or just look like one, looking for the video I found out they are still around. Link

It looks this these "events" are just a nice little bonus for him and his family on the taxpayers dime.

Why? Hell, Fox News spends weeks/months training their female anchors to have sexy legs for their short skirts. They'd rather their women look good than sound intelligent.

Lost Thought 00: How else will he have a cover for him his embezzlement?

FIFM

I'm sure there are plenty of other ways a politician can benefit from tax-payer monies but I have to give a +5 points for originality.

Love the statement. Let me translate:

"Well, we don't know what the big deal was about, since everyone else was doing stuff like this, but some of you broads were getting your panties all in a twist so we decided to quietly take it away before it broke national. Still not sure what all the crying's about, but I'll be sure to include this episode in an itemized list of 'why all conservatives are victims always, since the libby libs hate both free speech and jobs' in some future stump speech, so thanks for the extra campaign contributions in advance."

So it's like RuPaul's Drag U, except the woman presenting it is biologically female. So what?

Look, I know the Internet loves to get its hate on, and yes, Marty Golden is a man emblematic of a bygone time when Bay Ridge was populated by good white working class families like Tony Manero's, but don't we all have something better to do than be furious about something that doesn't affect us?

who's furious? the republican tendency towards social regression as well as hypocrisy about wasteful tax dollars is always amusing

Actually, it's precisely this type of response, this public shaming of such stupid troglodytes, that forces progress. If Golden hadn't been shamed, if feminists and other sane people hadn't biatch-slapped him for pushing such a stupid idea - and on the taxpayer's dime, no less - the implied tacit acceptance would've encouraged others to do the same.

We're in the political mess we're in because we didn't speak out strongly enough, early enough, to prevent it. Folks are realizing that, if you don't want stupid things done with your money by your politicians, you have to yell at them loud & hard when they attempt to do stupid things.
