Since I don't care about being cool, that makes me pretty cool, right?

Beginning their research after Dar Nimrod disagreed with his friend, Hansen's assertion that Buscemi was cool

Someone named "Nimrod" might have some underlying issues about the definition of "cool".

Steve Buscemi, the actor that was hip to to love before Hipster become popular again in the 2010s. Look we all know Con Air was the high point of his career

How to tell what is cool:

Before doing something, imagine it played back in front of Chuck Yeager, Neil Armstrong, and Chuck Norris.

If all three of them say "hell yeah that was awsome", then proceed.

/easy.

Steve Buscemi played the elderly "hip" record collecting boyfriend to hipster hero Enid in Ghost World, can't get less cool than that! (still a good movie though :) ) He was better in Reservoir Dogs, Airheads, Fargo, Con Air, Escape from LA, and The Adventures of Pete and Pete; in that he didn't have to deal with having such an awkward, confused character as Seymour (where if Enid was just one year younger, it'd be pedophilia due to what they did together) whom had no real direction in the film and had to deal with a jerk of a teenager.

The "Fonz" was/is not cool. Cool is not forced upon an audience. People who think "the Fonz" is cool are necessarily without credence.

Also listed as desirable traits that are equated with coolness are trendiness, individualism

They saw cool being equated as 'hot', 'handsome', 'beautiful' and 'sexy', revealing an overwhelming theme of simple physical looks.

Made me laugh.

I know I'm cool. Always have been. I'm definitely not the best looking guy around, but everyone loves me. Chicks dig me, because I make them laugh. Dudes dig me, because I say out loud what they're thinking.

Agreed. The Fonz was a washed up former Milwaukee hipster, who couldn't even join a real motorcycle club and earn a living doing real MC shiat, living in the garage attic of his nerdy friend's parents who took pity on him. Hell, he didn't even have a real job until the later seasons when he got a job as a blazer-wearing substitute teacher - imparting his dirtbag wisdom to the wayward teens of a 1962 Milwaukee suburb.

Being so insecure you have to wear your security blanket/leather jacket while water skiing? Not cool at all.

Not mentioning the King of Cool, Steve McQueen in an article about what's cool?
Not cool.
Commenting on an article several days late, not cool.
