No one noticed this yet?

Officer Raymond Therrien reported seeing the 42-year-old woman being "chased frantically" toward the department entrance by a man later identified as Constantine Greven, 40, of 26 Washington St.

and

The woman told police she had been riding her bike down Washington Street when she noticed Greven, with whom she had an "on and off" two-year relationship

She waited patiently on her bike while this guy runs into the house to rummage through his kitchen to find a knife. Yaaaa right.

Hope this guy gets a good Lawyer, and his neighbors come forward about this chick. No way she is innocent in all this. You don't accidentally ride up to your violent, ex-con, ex-boyfriends house on your bike and innocently stop to hang out and wait to be innocently chased into a police station.

It's about a mile from this guys house to the Police station. She couldn't out pace this guy on a bike? Or did she go on foot once the guy had a knife, and going full Darwin in the process?

There is a lot more to this story than appears in that article.

what_now: The alleged victim, who had an active restraining order against Greven that ended today, chose not to renew the order during a District Court hearing Monday.

Wait...what?

It goes with this:

The woman told police she had been riding her bike down Washington Street when she noticed Greven, with whom she had an "on and off" two-year relationship, the report said. Greven went inside and retrieved the knife, and then "swung it wildly, nearly missing her and her bike."

It makes it sound like she went by his place. WTF? You know he's a douchebag abuser. STAY AWAY.

How many stories on fark about a women being killed by an estranged, spouse, boyfirend, girldfriend, whatever ended with "And she had a restraining order against the person"? It seems to piss them off more.

It does seem to have that affect; but it's still an important part of the process. The cops come to you quicker when you have to call them and the consequences for violating them tack on for of an appropriate sentence, especially if they're on probation or parole for an assault against you. I really want to know this woman's reasoning for not renewing. I don't farking understand.

/counting down the days until I can go get mine renewed.

So he hit her. A near miss is a hit.

So when you hear that two airplanes had a near miss, you assume they hit each other?

"A near miss" and "nearly missing" are not the same thing...

This - like a dead snake and a deadly snake.

Not only this, but the guy was denied bail. She would have had to come back every few months to keep the restraining order and this guy isn't going anywhere. The restraining order didn't stop this guy from hunting her down with a knife into a police station. If that didn't stop him what are the chances that a legal order is going to do it?

Of course you have to stop chasing her, it's in the rules. Now if someone tags her out, then you can start chasing again.
