FTA : A worker at Gordman's corporate headquarters said the company's president was the only one authorized to comment and he was out of town.

I understand Sodom and/or Gomorrah are lovely this time of year.

debug: Why do people get upset over shiat like this? Don't like it? Don't farking buy it.

If it's in poor taste, they won't sell and the company will stop making it. It's a self correcting problem. There's more important shiat to be concerned about.

explain truck nuts then.

Hold up, there really is "action news" in America?

Bwahahahahahaha!

/So when the Simpsons did it it wasn't just a joke about the state of American media?

No no no this just makes them look sexually mature, that's just a major turn off.

gravebayne2: explain truck nuts then.

They say to the world, "I didnt really enjoy that same-sex molestation of my early teens".

2012-07-03 03:49:13 AM
Most of the parents who saw it were outraged.

"I feel it's very inappropriate for an 18-month-old girl," said one parent.

Outraged by this but it's OK to let your snowflake run around butt-naked in the front yard or at the Wal-mart.

2012-07-03 04:02:00 AM
Some people drive around all day looking to feed their outrage for their own enjoyment. Tricks them into making themselves feel important.

This is as stupid as it gets and here's why: It's a bikini, not bra & panties. It doesn't say "juicy" or "slip fingers in me". Go to your local beach (if you have one) you will see plenty of 6-12 year old kids in kid's bikinis. They exist. Get a grip. Do they make real kids bikinis for babies? Probably not. It's a gag shirt for the beach. Relax. When I wear my tuxedo t-shirt nobody assumes I'm James Bond.

Maybe the person making it sexual is the complainer, not the t-shirt designer? Ponder that. Just because they're subconsciously thinking of diddling kids in bikinis in their private moments doesn't mean a t-shirt at K-mart is being sold to encourage the whoring out of our children.

Is this Pretty Baby all over again?

IlGreven: "Ignore it and it goes away" doesn't work. Never has, never will.

Not everything that you don't like has to "go away". You have a point about creationism in education but there are good reasons for that. Something like Snooki, well if that's what people want, let them have it.

/people have always wanted dumb things

Meh, just get your kids either NRA tshirts or Che Guevara tshirts so we can tell who is who.

2012-07-03 05:26:57 AM
The only comment on the page thus far is priceless:
"What do you expect from a jewy business such as Gordman's? Turn those little White girls into the shiksas they are as soon as possible while profiting as much as possible. TJB - Typical Jew Behavour"

LOL...them jooz 'n' their behavour!

Apparently, yes.

Although I have to say that the bikini onesie is no more or less offensive than some of the ones here.

AverageAmericanGuy: And it's not like babies aren't already cute enough. Their chubby little legs, soft, taut tummies, and puffy cheeks are so snugglable.

Yeah, but they constantly slobber. They are cute when they don't have goopy snotty fluid leaking out of their heads, which is seldom.

/Ew, ick, ugh, bleah

Eh, I have a little girl and, while I probably wouldn't have got this for her, I'm not offended by it. I think stuff that really sexualizes little girls tend to be the really expensive designer brand crap that is MADE to make your baby look like a slut (never would put anything that says 'juicy' on my child). Anyway, this just looks like a joke.

2012-07-03 06:19:02 AM

AverageAmericanGuy: People are seriously over-reacting. It's just a cute outfit.

And it's not like babies aren't already cute enough. Their chubby little legs, soft, taut tummies, and puffy cheeks are so snugglable.

why don't you have a seat-

;)

anywho, the outfit looks like a dumb joke to me. I wouldn't freak out if I saw a baby wearing it, but I won't be buying it for my niece either.

PurpleAlienGiraffe: anfrind: Why not just put some sunscreen on them? Or is there some complication with infants and sunscreen that I'm not aware of?

Why not just have them covered head to toe so you DON'T have to worry about putting sunscreen on your infant? Babies have very sensitive skin. I know sunscreens are made to be hypoallergenic and all, but wee ones cans till have bad reactions. If it was me, I'd just cut my losses and buy one of those zip up 1 piece suit things that looks kinda like a surfer's outfit. Swimwear gives you at least 50 UPF protection anyways. Just put a hat on the kid's head and tadah! No sunburn to worry about!

But I guess parents prefer their baby girls to look like miniature women in swimwear instead of being practical. *rolls eyes*

Or maybe they prefer their baby to not get overheated due to their skin not being able to breathe, sweat, etc.... It gets bloody muggy and nasty in the summertime, and babies do NOT take well to that

2012-07-03 06:52:53 AM
This may have been said already, but...

How is this more egregious than the ACTUAL infant bikini's they sell?

/already looking for a Sex Pistols onesie for my babby's announcement photo
//hopefully he/she will have enough hair for a fauxhawk
///maybe 'shop a nose ring on for maximum value...

Oversimplifying the problem down to a single talking point like that doesn't help anything, you know.

Not to mention the news article leading to internet coverage leading to more people being aware that this product even exists, some percentage of whom will say "Yeah, I want that." Some will like it, some will buy it "ironically", but whatever the buyers motivation, this protest will increase sales of the item, making the act of protest counter-productive (unless they're actually agents of a marketing team hoping to take advantage of the Streisand effect to boost flagging sales)

If I had a baby girl, I would put her in one of these.

a) they are cute. It's not like they are thongs.
b) easier to change her diaper than to pull down a one piece while she squirmed

Protip:

When you are a 30 year old man, who is in Victoria's Secret by your self, and one of the ladies asks if you are looking for something, do NOT hold up a skimpy piece of lingerie, and ask "Do these come in children's sizes?". Even if you just have a warped sense of humor, and are doing it for the lulz, they will NOT find it funny. At all.

Trust me.

She ain't a gonna win no beauty contests wearin' no scuba suit!

2012-07-03 08:54:01 AM

PurpleAlienGiraffe: Shouldn't people be more outraged with some like this?

I shop for my nieces and nephew somewhat often and I'm always seeing 2 piece bikini-like swimwear FOR INFANTS. For babies that can't even crawl! In BIKINIS. The should be covered head-to-toe! Sunburn on their skin is horrific!

Why can't uppity folks like those in TFA get over their dumb selves and stop with the double standards!

It is a lot easier to change a diaper in a two piece.

2012-07-03 09:47:01 AM
Yah, yah, protect the children. These are probably the same people that name their girls "Candi", "Apple", and various other nonsense that'll end up being far more of a pain-in-the-arse in life. Then they'll enter the kid in various beauty pageants when they're 4 or 5 years old, then wonder where they "went wrong" when she's stripping at the local pole-dancer dive for extra cocaine money when they're seventeen.

Just take the sprogs from them and encase them in concrete. They'll be safe there.

JimmyCarter'sSecondTerm: I bought something similar for my niece at walmart. It had the bikini print without the body.

WelI I just through all that together making up several of the words to make fun of the silly way academics, feminist academics, and the sanctimonious women's studies set speak in order to find victimization and oppression in everything. The key being the phrase almost rape
