Wow, that is one of the dumbest retail ideas. The whole reason I buy a book is to have a hard copy to re-read years later. Then even the purple print looked tough to read new.
Even in the promo they had to give the books away as critic copies, so they pretty much already found a good use for it.

That's almost a good idea. But it's just a reason to immediately copy it to your HDD.
I'm surprised they haven't made a bigger push to online digital sales so there wouldn't be a secondary market or the expenses in creation and distribution.
