To be fair, those cops THREW HIM INTO PUBLIC

And it's pretty common knowledge you can get a Drunk in Public charge pretty much anywhere, especially when you're blatantly sloshed and harassing/hitting on cops.

Public: not in your own home

/and even then...

Uh yeah - newsflash people - you're not supposed to be drunk in a bar. I know, I know - it doesn't really make sense but if the bartenders are doing what the legislators want them to do they will cut you off and they may even throw you out.

here's another newsflash - don't fark with cops.

I think one of the main reasons I've never been arrested - or even thrown out of a bar is simple common sense.

I've been cut off a few times....it made me angry, but not so much that I did anything stupid.

2012-07-02 04:55:53 PM
I'm drunk pretty much always. You just don't act like it.

Words is funny sometimes, I reckon.

Happy Hours: ...here's another newsflash - don't fark with cops.

Or, as in this particular fellow's case, don't repeatedly tell them you want to fark 'em.

Mugato, I always act like you're drunk.

Hey TimLo did you know yor submissions are at 4321?

2012-07-02 06:48:38 PM
Good thing Indiana just changed the PI law so you aren't supposed to be arrested just for being drunk, only for doing drunk things (danger to self or others, breaking shiat etc).

Ehh
2012-07-02 06:49:26 PM
Was the arrest as funny as the one in Superbad?

2012-07-02 06:49:32 PM
Arrests like that happen pretty regularly here in Texas. TABC officers have full authority to arrest anyone drunk in a bar.

/Also can cite the owner for serving a person visibly intoxicated.

I'm not one to immediate suggest discrimination, but this seems like discrimination against teh gay.

The cops just looked at him, and walked away. He just thought they didn't hear him, and he had to repeat himself. If those dumb cops would have just said, 'ok dude' the situation would have been defused.

Not in Nevada. They actually have a specific law that says you can't be arrested just for being intoxicated.

I was prepared to be outraged, but after RTFA...

Sounds like the cops were fine with just letting him go until he RE-approached them. They probably figured if he's going to say things like that to THEM, he was going to get himself killed if they just left him there.

csb,

About 20 years ago we had a gig in a bar somewhere in North Jersey. We were a "soon-to-be-huge" rock band that shared the bill with a couple of hip-hop acts.

The group before us, all hip-hop, ran their set 30 minutes too long.

We took the stage and were forced to cut our set short because of the rappers before us running long.

I got upset and blew a snot rocket on the mirror behind the bar.

That was the only time I was ever booted from a bar.

/band went nowhere but I did meet a girl who used to bang Scott from STP.

Good, I'm glad he was arrested. Everyone has to learn somehow, someday, to stay the fark away from cops. Maybe this will be his wake up call that they are not his friends.

"I love to fark a man in uniform."

It's far easier to fark a man who takes off his uniform first.

I think the owner can be cited in any state. Here in Ohio you can for sure. I have to constantly tell my bartenders not to serve obviously drunk people. They don't like it because the drunk will get angry and not leave a tip.

Well yes actually. You are there to take a piss or a dump- not compare junk. Big difference between taking reasonable care toward modesty and shaking your shart at someone else conducting their personal business.

Same being drunk in a bar. Have as many as you want but once you step over the line become a nuisance to the other patrons, don't expect mercy- especially with the people who are there to enforce the rules.

So....maybe following a pair of cops saying "I'd love to fark a man in uniform" may in fact be a poor idea?

Duuuuuude....

In Louisiana, you're only liable for over serving (whether bartender or in your home) if you serve a minor. Otherwise, you are not the proximate cause of someone else's drunkenness. The fact that he drank too much is his fault and his crimes thereafter are his responsibility.

Our state wants to protect those who give us booze.
