Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener:

Apos: Damn you for Lou Bega-rizing this thread! ;)

Speaking in my capacity as someone who legitimately owns that album, I felt that I had no other choice in the matter, good sir.

No worries,bro....As someone who was just nodding to 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny",I'm hardly one to talk.

It could be worse.

Neither one of us probably bought Ninja Rap, so that's gotta be worth some points somewhere.

I like when people play Bon Jovi. It lets me easily see who I don't wish to associate with.

maram500: CSB:

I attended a class by a former professor a couple years back around the time my sister-in-law was due to pop her second crotchfruit out. So I'm sitting in this lecture and my phone goes off--my brother calling to tell me that his second crotchfruit had a hole, not a pole. My ringtone at the time: "Savin' Me," I shiat you not. Prof stops talking about Macedonia, looks dead at me, and says: "Nickleback, Mr. [Redacted]?"

/CSB

What's "cool" about your professor embarrassing you for liking shiatty musak?

devilskware: CravenMorehead: Ha! Subby used "popular" and "Nickelback" in the same sentence.

They're a common overused punchline on Fark. They're at least popular around here.... and pretty much everywhere else actually.

It would only be an overused meme if Nickelback had any talent. But they don't - so it's all good...

FirstNationalBastard: I Have The Touch of a Shocked Monkey: I know "Sussudio" makes you all "feel stabby", but try to remember that's just a figure of speech.

Unless it's post-Black Album Metallica, then I can forgive you. Maybe.

Only St. Anger is bad enough to inspire the stabbin' rage.

When I was young I went to a party where someone put the Grateful Dead's Sugar Magnolia on a loop. I had to listen to that song for two days nonstop. (It was a long party.)

LewDux: FriarReb98: Los del Río frown upon your shenanigans. They then put each hand out, then flip them up, then touch each shoulder. Then they touch the back of their head, followed by touching each hip with each hand, shaking their rears three times. And then, because you've grown bored with them, they jump ninety degrees and clap, just to start it all over again. Futile, if you ask me. But they do so for your quoting their arch-nemesis like that.

Look at you, droid. A pathetic creature of circuit and alloy, panting and sweating as you dance through my corridors.

Is it weird that I don't mind that, but Sad But True wants me to punt something?

How to construct a "worst song evar" list on the internet:

1. Find any one-hit wonder, novelty song, or memorable song that stands out and was overplayed during its time of popularity
2. Repeat 1 until done

Basically they are about as generic and ubiquitous as off-white paint. There is nothing particularly awful about them musically, their stuff is just catchy over-produced corporate-rock. It is an ideological hatred more than anything else in my opinion. Also Chad Kroeger is a dickbag.

I once got threatened with a knife for putting $10 worth of Willie Nelson songs on the juke box at a bar where 2/3 of the patrons would have greatly preferred Tupac.

Ow My Balls: "Una Paloma Blanca" - Jonathan King

I've always thought that Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress by The Hollies, while fine in moderation, had the power to be mind-destroying with sufficient repetition.
