It makes me sad to learn this is a thing. Whoo! Freedom! Guns! Whoo!

Yeah, because fires never start without people.

heh...smoking gun reporting about the smoking gun of some bro-time douchebag.

sounds awesome to me!

Guns serve a purpose, and can be a great tool/ hobby. Problem is, if you have one, your gonna want to shoot it. That's when the problems begin.

Kind of like having a fast car or motorcycle. Or a hot friend.

9 out of 10 wildfires don't.

Trees certainly never fire shotguns in the air.

As a born redneck/hillbilly from WV, I can tell you that the proper way to say it is, "Here, hold my beer and watch this!"

Sheesh.... damned cityboys tryin' to act like they know somethin'

I'm sure the solid, honest, hard working white folks of Arizona will all ppitch in to get this taken care of without the need for any help from outside. Because they're bootstrappy, and exceptional.

WTG subby. Nice to know that someone else knows that Smokey Bear does not have a middle name.

Tie him up in the path of the wildfire and let Nature work it out.

I started a brush fire years ago when I was working construction. We had a fire bit to burn scrap, but I was burning pine siding and it got out of control and blew about 50 feet to the grass line. Brush fires spread so quickly it's farking scary. I had a car phone (remember those?) and thank God I did, because even though the fire department got there in under 20 minutes, it had burned through 4 acres already and was looking to take out a neighborhood that butted up against the construction site. All told it still managed to eat up about 10 acres of land before they got the whole thing out. They drove a Jeep around with a water tank on the back following the fire line to put it out, but it took over an hour.

I was such a blubbering mess when the fire department and police got there they didn't even give me a ticket. Thankfully, the house we were building had nothing but dirt around it, so the fire didn't touch it. That whole property stayed black for the rest of the summer, though. It did look extra green the next spring.

A hot female friend that is. I think it's a given that if you're gay and have a male friend..you've farked him.

The fire was bad because the hippies wouldn't let controlled burns happen to clear out the woods. Environmentalists destroy the Earth quicker then any other group.

That's what we're looking for!

He's a retard for using incendiary ammo when he's not at a dry lake bed or something. It's pretty hard to start fires with normal rounds otherwise.

There's like 2 or 3 places that are really nice. That stretch along the river just north of Sedona is wonderful. And...um...well, I'm sure there are other places.

The round is called Dragon's Breath. I've thought about ordering some once, then I thought about what it would do to my shotgun barrel and decided against it.

*rolls eyes*

This wouldn't have happened if the forest had been armed, DUH.

Ya, subby might have mentioned it was a farking incendiary round. Because that's just a little teeny bit different than managing to start one with a normal round.

One is just a freak chance and the other makes him a giant douchebag who needs to be liable for more than a misdemeanor.

2012-07-02 05:35:54 PM
This obviously means that guns should be banned

It's called a "Dragon's Breath" round (video), or better yet at night (video). A crowd-pleasing pyro with no defensive or offensive application to speak of.

It's not designed to set things on fire per se. It's a barrel-launched firework cartridge. But, in dry conditions, it certainly can.

It was an uppity forest that didn't know its place. And all the other forests around have learned a valuable lesson about not getting a big head.

And meanwhile, Colorado isn't prohibiting outdoor shooting right now, despite several of their fires starting because of that, because the state government considers that to be violating the 2nd Amendment.

C'mon Utahrds! You have to shoot at some more traffic signs and set some more fires that cause millions of dollars in damage and kill people.

We can't let the Zonies pull ahead of us!

It's what I did one year when I got too lazy to pick up leaves. I'm out on the edge of town where leave burning is legal. I just tossed a match in the yard and raked stuff away from the house.

All these fires are a bit painful now but I'm guessing that it's clearing a ton of stuff from a long time policy of "fire suppression". Has anyone done any follow up studies on areas that have had massive burns on if they have had repeats?
