Nowhere in that link does it state that he asked, "Do you know who my father is?"

Yeah, not even in the picture caption - where they repeated the ENTIRE story.

Just another Heartland Weirdass: you mean that sub standard minor league baseball guy? STOP RESISTING!

I have to stick up for Jordan's baseball career. Yes, he wasn't very good, but he was probably the best 31-year-old in AA ball that year. And he did it all having had no practice whatsoever in baseball since high school. The thing about baseball is that it requires almost no athleticism (in the way that running up and down a basketball court for 48 minutes does) but it does require certain incredibly refined muscle twitches and reflex reactions. It takes most mediocre AA players all of their young lives to learn how to hit .202. Jordan picked it up during spring training at an age when most major leaguers are getting too creaky to play!

I'm not saying he had major league talent. Or, I'm not saying he had major league talent left in him at 31. If he'd played in college, he might have been average, who knows. But that's the best part. He quit the thing he was the best in the world at and took up something that was a challenge. Did he fail? Absolutely! Did he try and try again until he succeeded at that impossible task? No, that'd be stupid! These are both valuable life lessons.

semiotix: Celebrity-kid entitlement plus being drunk plus being black after dark in Nebraska. Saying "I'm Michael Jordan's kid" is probably what kept him from getting shot.

So, the opposite of "I'm Michael Jordan's dad"?
