I would have used that amount of coin to put a down payment on a house instead of a "party". Then again, I forgot to take away reason and accountability when this decesion was made to get married at "the big house".

Yeah, I'm not going to attend a wedding there unless they plan to consumate it on the giant M at the 50 yard line.

Brandon doesn't want Michigan Stadium, which recently underwent a $226 million renovation, to sit empty as much as it has in recent years. Last year it went unused roughly 340 days, or about 93 percent of the time.

I wonder what the tuition hikes were the years they were doing the renovation?

You can't get some people to believe that, they think that as athletics grow and get more expensive that academics get cut back.

Yes, just like my left hand and my right foot are totally separate.

/What we're saying here is that college athletic programs profit unfairly from the hard work of student athletes and divert badly-needed funds and attention from much more deserving academic programs. Don't take it personally.

Nobody takes it personally, because you're wrong.

Some of the schools with biggest sports programs also have huge research and field study programs fueling new technology.

Accept it and move on with your life, otherwise you get worry lines.

Very little actually. I just read a report that indicated UM's tuition hikes as a percentage have been well below the average for the last few years. I don't have the citation since i am typing from my phone, but it was right on the homepage of umich.edu recently if you want to go looking for it.

As a bride, nah it was hot enough in our shaded park. But as a Wolverine; walking out of the tunnel while everyone is watching you, that would be pretty cool. You're not nervously staring at everyone staring at you. You check the place out from a new point of view (and trip in the heels)

Options could include: breaking a banner as you run in, spiking a ball when they introduce the couple, dumping gaterade over the officiant.

That doesn't necessarily follow. It can be true, but it often isn't, and occasionally works the other way.

It was the Ivy league schools who started big-time athletics. They certainly thought they were a good idea right up until the time the state schools got better at it that they were.

To be fair, no Buckeye fan would need seating capacity for 100,000 people since the bride and groom are most likely related and no one family is that large.

However Michigan fans do need it since only 10 from each family will be coming but they're so fat they'll take up most of the stadium.

I went to a reception at one of the other Big Ten stadiums. It was in the area for all the big donors during the game. They let the bridal party down on the field for photos and whatnot. All in all, it was pretty nice and probably one the best places to have a reception in the town.

Short memory? Don't forget the 1990s. These things go in cycles. Always have.

1) His entire salary comes from outside the education budget.

2) the schools feel they have to spend that cash to keep alumni happy who keep pouring donations into the school athletic program. It's very, very circular.

What part of that defends the absolute ineptitude of a nationally ranked team losing to a Div2 team. Not only did your pathetic "university" manage to get rack up the most embarrassing loss in college football history, nay, total football history - but you lost 9 out 10 games to your biggest rival. Even then, it took our worst team in 10 years to allow you that win - which you barely got.

Your team sucks balls.
