They found Julie Marie Dengler, 31, in the parking lot with the soiled infant and no ride.

Deputies added charges of cocaine possession and possession of drug equipment after finding a rolled-up dollar bill in her purse with cocaine residue.

Wasn't it shown some time ago that most dollar bills in circulation have some kind of cocaine residue on them? Or is that an urban legend?

Regardless, why the additional charges? It's obvious this gal can't make responsible choices, so it isn't like she's going to have a fancy lawyer to get her off the neglect charges.

Why would you have a rolled up dollar bill in your purse? How much residue?

Also, someone let her know her wig is on crooked.

To be serious for a second though... at least they should be having this kids live with some other (hopefully more responsible) relatives, for a long long time. If she doesn't have any of those, there are plenty of people who would love to have a baby who can't for various reasons.

Some people just cry out "I really don't want to be a parent"... and this is one of them.

Or she could be one of those parents that proclaims how much they love kids but neglect the shiat out of them and treat it as more of a part time job. Like pet owners that do that too bleh.

My dad got full-custody of all three of us and my oldest sister wasn't even technically his. The judge hated my mom (as he should've; at the time, she was not really mother material). So, yes, while I would not dare argue there isn't certainly a strong bias towards mothers, every now and then, the dad does rightfully win.

True, and probably mostly to the eugenics snafu.

However, I'm not sure it would be an entirely bad thing. Get your third kid taken away by social services, snip snip for you.

Similarly, get your 2nd court-ordered set of child support payments, snip snip.

I'm not saying it can't be done; but, it has to be something major, like the judge not liking the mother, for a dad to win complete custody.

The story told to me was: this lady was heavily into drugs and somehow snagged a date with a decent guy. Decent guy knocks up druggy lady; and decent guy develops a drinking problem. The tipping point was: druggy lady left the child in a bath tub with water in it. The child nearly drowned; but survived and wasn't physically harmed. Decent guy sobers up and takes custody of the child; druggy lady got the old snip because this was the 6th child taken away from her.

/ and that is as specific a story that I am going to tell

Before Georgia banned kids from places where people smoke, I went to a karaoke bar and the 'singer' was a 1 year old 'singing' into the microphone. You couldn't even see across the room. The women were 'aww, that's cute', and the guys were 'please, make it stop'. It sounded kind of like a drunk Yoko Ono.

I winked out of that place.

As if we dont have enough problems here in FL with the residents, the vacation folks make it even worse.

What I really hate is seeing some rattle trap vehicle with out of state plates. Why? Because you know if they are driving some hunk of garbage they arent here on vacation, they moved here. It seems that up in Michigan, Ohio, etc they are still spreading the word that there are jobs here in FL. What ends up happening is they get down here, cant find a job, get on welfare and meth.

So, I think we've pretty much determined someone needs to make a You Tube parody that intro's the news story (short clip from a local TV newscast) and then goes into a parody video.

As I am not musically or video editing inclined, someone else will need to take the reins.

Either you know some, are some, or are from Pennsylvania. The community I live in is quite a nice area. Palm Harbor 34684. Guess it helps that it has one of the highest adjusted gross incomes for a zip code in all of Florida

Also, you do know that a huge population of Florida is transplants from up north? Of course, we have a large population of transplants from the south also.... but that is another story.

I trust we can all see the doomed path we are on and that its about time we found an alternative.

"$12,375." - you have got to be farking kidding!

So we have a a case of "cocaine possession and possession of drug equipment after finding a rolled-up dollar bill in her purse with cocaine residue." - I can vaguely remember reading a figure that involved almost all US notes having traces of cocaine.

IN this situation we have a mother who is addicted to an insanely cheap (to produce ... not so much on the coal face (esp. when its criminal - gosh i hate that word 'criminal') ... personally its a very rare giggle) intoxicant, who is off her face - and the best we as a community can do is kidnap her child and blame it ALL on her. Good on you Air America (well the SA equivalent), lay the blame in a convenient spot ....

That was long before the federal government offered incentives to states on child support collection and enforcement. Since birth mothers statistically make much less than the sperm donor (their words and actions) it is a financial win to rob a father blind both of money and parental rights.
