This is why celebrities can't have nice things... oh, wait.

/Rob can EABOD and DIAF if he believes what he is saying.

"....autism was unheard of in America in 1930..."

Gee, I wonder what that could be, Rob? Maybe because the term only gained scientific prominence in 1938? That doesn't mean there were no autistic people before that point, but they would have been most likely diagnosed as schizophrenic, mentally retarded or something else.

"It's illegal," Schneider said. "You can't make people do procedures that they don't want. The parents have to be the ones who make the decisions for what's best for our kids. It can't be the government saying that. It's against the Nuremberg Laws." (Schneider likely means the UN's Nuremberg Principles, which dictate an individual's responsibility to follow government orders; the Nuremberg Laws were a series of anti-semitic statutes passed by Nazis.)

Interesting question-- It does make more sense that he would have been referring to the Nuremberg Principles, which held out the idea that you couldn't use the "I was just following orders" defense when you went ahead and did something you knew to be wrong. On the other hand, it could have just been a complaint that the government was being anti-semitic.

/For one brief moment, I thought Schneider was going to do something good. I'd love to see that movie.

Has Schneider ever done anything that didn't suck? Even with the most horrendous people I can find something. Even Adam Sandler was somewhat funny in Happy Gilmore. But Schneider? I got nothing. Not a movie, not a sketch on SNL. Only Larry the Cable Guy has reached his level of suck. And now he's pulling a Godwin on autism.

"The Hot Chick" was pretty funny, especially the part where he has to convince April that he's Jessica.

I think we already knew that Rob Schneider was a clueless moronic dickhead. Writing articles about his clueless dickheadery is not necessary.

I wonder when he's going to start writing articles for Breitbart?

That copy machine guy shtick was good for five minutes. That era was my prime SNL watching time, but I honestly can't remember any other skit that he starred in.

I can't believe my parents knowingly poisoned me against my will when I was younger. I'm gonna stop getting my flu vaccine from now on. I'd rather get the flu naturally, and miss work, and feel like shiat for days on end.

i think he's doing this for the press

2012-07-02 12:16:42 PM
He was in the studio with Bob & Tom a few months ago. The gang was doing their usual thing, Bob hanging back, running things, Chick being neurotic and defensive, Christie sounding cute, Tom with his fecal/anal fixation. Schneider kept talking like he thought he was on Charlie Rose. What an insufferable tool.

I wish that celebrities would realize that having starred in a few movies/hit ablums/hit tv show, etc doesn't mean that you're suddenly the go to expert on any subject (like medical opinions, politics or economics), and that if they aren't promoting their new project that they'd just STFU and go away.

Also, I wish that people would realize that celebrities aren't really people that should be listened to when not promoting their new project. Most are dumb beyond belief, possess a skill that honestly requires no education, and making millions of dollars making a movie or album or what ever doesn't mean that we should hold their opinions to be more valid than any other person's opinions or that what ever bullshiat comes out of their mouth is accurate in any given way.

2012-07-02 12:21:12 PM
I'm not really a Rob Schneider fan. Despite that, I feel compelled to help promote his movie Big Stan. It's an older movie but I thought it was one of the funniest I've ever watched. It's worth a watch.

I caught a little bit of an interview he did not long ago. He's big into natural remedies and homoepathic healing whathaveyou. He seemed very energetic on the ideas but he's no medical expert to be sure.

The only other thing I really remember from his time there was the Italian restaurant sketch with him and Sandler molesting Kirstie Alley.

I wonder if Schneider and Arsenio Hall ever get together and wonder what their lives would have been like without Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy.

He was Rich the copy guy, Tiny Elvis, Deuce Bigalow, The Animal, the "you can do it" guy in all the Adam Sandler movies. He's done some funny things in his career. I like Rob Schneider and I wish he had better luck when choosing projects. Spreading lies about the dangers of vaccination, even if he means well and is just misguided, is inexcusable. If children die because this idiot gives legitimacy to superstitions regarding vaccination, he will have blood on his hands.

All I think of him is is that skit from SNL. That's it.

He did some USO tours, and insisted on wearing actual military uniforms, complete with actual rank insignia, medals, and badges, he of course, never earned. Apparently he thought this would be "hilarious." Supposedly, when his Public Affairs handler told him that probably wouldn't go over well with guys who had bled, sweated, and fought for those honors, he ignored her advice and still wore it.
