As a follow up to this story, when asked by a reporter why the officer shot him instead of using his taser, the police chief said the officer was not certified to use a taser, and did not have one.
Oh, I can just hear the ACLU clowns on this. They will complain about using a taser, but in this case they will probably complain he didn't need to use deadly force because if he was coming at the officer with a pair of scissors, he should have used a taser bla bla bla.
