Tasty even without ketchup

Wow, you're bad at eating fries. Why the hell are you being paid to review them?

Also this:

The other major problem was the level of salt -- the bad ones either had too little or too much

There's no such thing as too little salt on things like fries. You realize you can add more salt to your own taste, but you can't remove too much salt. Hell I'd rather have almost zero salt personally. I don't like salt, so I'd only add a little bit.

If only the tables at these restaurants provided some manner of dispensing salt when needed.

I've heard all good things about them... but their locations are strange. They have them in nowhereville, Louisiana but none in New Orleans?

Outback Aussie Fries are the epitome of "floppy and wan". Except if you get the loaded ones with cheese and bacon, they still taste good.

Best fries are at the fast food places. Casual dining is where you get REAL veggies.

Now, what are my favorite fries... I gotta go for the kind you get at Belgian bars.

Look, if I wanted fried potato skins, I can go to any convenience store and get them, without having to scrub off a layer of hipster afterwards.

As far as chain sit-down restaurants, I like Chili's the best. I hate Applebee's. Their food always seems like something I could microwave at home.

"Casual Dining"? Oh is that what they call it these days? Just the next step above fast food.

"Floppy and wan?" I believe those were the last words I heard from my ex-girlfriend as she left our home for the last time.

I worked at an Outback for a few years, and I thought the fries were gross. I'm not a lover of fries anyway, but yeah, those were no good.

I currently work at a Bahama Breeze and I think their fries are really good, though (I'm not saying that to be a shill; I personally don't give a shiat about the place). They're small like McDonalds' fries, but crispier.

Theres this Coney Island in Detroit near Wayne State University that has the straight up best fries ever. A beer, a coney, and fries for $3 kept me alive for about 2 semesters.

I know they were just frozen fries like all the rest of the restaurants get, but I think this place deep fried em in like pure trans fat, or bacon grease, or something, idk, they rocked.

Hank's Haute Dogs in Honolulu has fries cooked in Duck Fat.
And Chicago dogs: he has Vienna Dogs and poppy seed buns shipped from Chicago.

Mind boggling.

Agree totally, I used to pull up to the drive thru and get a large order and have them finished before i drove two miles.

Quit doing that because I got so fat and now I cut carbs. Lost 23 pounds so far.

If there's some kind of award for the fastest collapse of a once (semi) decent website collapsing into a black hole of vapidity and banality, Huffington Post should win it every year for the next three years.

All fries taste pretty much the same when you drown them in tomato paste and high fructose corn syrup.
