Dammit, Fark, why didn't we think of this? Too bad we had to settle for "amusing" tag, because this is pure genius.

It looks like its working. The Kodiak Walmart has 20,000 likes.

Better bring your Mukluks, bra.

A free vacation to Kodiak in summer? Where do I sign up!

What is really funny to me is that this could be turned into a huge promotional campaign for Wal-Mart. Instead of sending him to some typical boring regular city where it would be a forgotten event. To send him to Kodiak Alaska is actually kind of interesting. If done properly they could get a lot of mileage out of this. In fact they already are i never would have heard about, or even cared about this, if it wasn't for this article.

I don't know offhand if there's a Walmart in North Korea.

Let's send Pitbull to investigate.

Can somebody explain to me how this guy I never heard of has his mug on nearly everything now? Does he even make music or does he just appear in commercials?

If Vote for Rory taught us anything, it's that concentrated efforts to troll the masses will always be stopped, no matter how obvious the sabotage is.

Yup. I'd love to go fishing on the Olds River again. Take a boat across the bay from Chiniak and hike up that big valley. Take another piss off the Bridge to Nowhere from the catwalk underneath it. Nobody believes me about the huge crab that's in the bank. That's the same crab that used to hang in the Ships Bar. Ah to hike up Old Womans again and watch the USCG launch helos while skipping rocks on the ice blue pond. Maybe even hike up both Pyramid and Barometer.

/great place to be a kid

Rapper named Pitbull, Wal*Mart, something called "energy strips", sad promotional effort that reflects poorly on all involved.....this story's got it all.

Agreed. I'd never heard of this "Wal Mart" before! Low and behold... there are 4 within 10 miles of me! Huh. How'd I miss that?

I've heard rumors of Target stores cropping up all over the place, too.

These rumors have been summarily dismissed as bullshiat until substantial evidence to the contrary surfaces.

reviews of the store - "Store is clean, but never has anything I want."

You think that maybe existing in the Bering Strait, it might take a LOT LONGER to get your crap that you need? Prices may be slightly higher in Alaska or Hawaii, there's a reason stores and businesses advertise that. Priveleged coonts.

This is a win for Wal-Mart, Pitbull, those things he's selling and the DJs who trolled him. He would be a fool not to go to Alaska.

According to Accuweather, Kodiak is 54 degrees right now. shiat, sign me up! Better than the farking triple digits we're getting in Oklahoma right now.

Had a friend stationed at Ft. Sill for a while. It was September so not as bad but still pretty shiatty. Up here in Tulsa were teetering around 97, which is a cool front compared to what it was this past week.

Why reward him? The Walmart Supercenter there is one of the crown jewels of Sam Walmart's empire. He'd walk out of there with three new classy button up shirts and a car battery for under 50 bucks.

Kodiak doesn't seem that bad but I'm just shocked he's successful at all, when someone told me that was him in that Dr Pepper commercial I was shocked since I didn't realize it was a serious song and not some crap thrown together for a crappy commercial.

Pitbull is my personal hero. Not for his catchy-awful pop but for the beautiful and insanely THICK women he has in his videos. I need to pop over to Cuba next time I'm home.

Yes, this is why Walmart NEVER spends money on advertising.

Maybe those of us that realize the real hellhole during August is the southern plains of the US should try to get this clown sent to the Walmart in Atoka, OK. After all, it's at least two hours by car to anything resembling civilization from Atoka, triple digit temperatures to bake in and the Walmart is the biggest place in that town.

Atoka has a population of about 3100. The ZIP is 74525. The link to "like" that page is here. Putting in the ZIP code gives you the list of the 5 Walmarts within 50 miles.

Let's see if FARK can send Pitbull to Oklahoma hell.

Everybody on the internet seems to hate Pitbull. I don't quite get it. It's just mindless pop dance music because sometimes you just don't want to listen to somebody groaning on about their problems.

Perhaps because everyone over the age of 15 recognizes it as the new "Heeeey Macarena!" or "Who let the dogs out?" and treats it as so.

He was a fairly mediocre Latin rapper for many years until he recently rebranded himself as a dance club DJ. Now he just says a few words over songs and they turn into top 40 gold.

/I started liking Pitbul when Fuego appeared on Madden 2008
