Marcus Aurelius: James!: Hasn't worked in what respect?

I think Rick is confusing Romneycare with gay marriage. But then he confuses everything with gay marriage. He seems to think about gay marriage a lot. When he's not thinking about man on dog. Because after all, he IS from Pennsylvania, and we all know what THOSE people are like.

Hey! What the hell, dude?

It's not like those of us here in the Keystone State spend all our time...um...funny word, "Keystone." When you think of a key you kinda have to think of a a place to put that key, huh? But nowhere really soft, since it also says stone. Like, say, just off the the top of my head, just stream-of-consciousness here, sake of argument only, the rock-hard abs of Channing Tatum. So it's like sticking something hard into Channing Tatum. But not in a dirty way, like you were in love and wanted to make a commitment, y'know? And then you spilled an entire case of Hershey's Syrup and all his friends were there and got really mad at you and...and...wow, it's sure humid in here. Better get these pants off before I get a rash....

I'd wager he still doesn't, but that was the only way the insurance companies were going to go along with this. On the bright side, at least Mitt Romney is very much in favor of the "personal responsibility mandate that gets rid of free riders in the system."

Because there are times in my life when I wouldn't have chosen chocolate ice cream over a hand job.

hubiestubert: It has.

It's been a boon to the insurance industry in Massachusetts. Which is what it was designed to be. Lots of cash in folks' pockets, and a fair amount of it on the taxpayer's dime.

Which is exactly what it was supposed to be.

I'd much prefer a single-payer system modeled after what Britain or Canada uses. The mandate is, basically, a handout to insurance companies. I'm sure Mitt knows even more insurance execs than sports team owners.

But you know, if it actually helps people, a significant number of people, we've blown taxpayer money on far worse things. And polls pretty consistently show that a large majority of MA residents are happy with what they got.

Romney's presidential bid is DOA (same as every year he's ever run). He either has to admit that he made a gigantic mistake with healthcare reform in Massachusetts, or he has to keep ACA at arm's length and avoid the discussion. And he's already being forced to do that on immigration. And it still doesn't look like the evangelicals who backed Santorum can find the motivation to back a Mormon.

Not that you had much to pick from in the first place, but God damn does your candidate suck donkey balls.

We're about 3 months away from Romney just refusing to get out of bed one day. He'll be like 3 hours late for a morning rally and his handlers will say that he had a touch of the flu or something, but the reality will be that he just woke up, thought about what his day is going to be like, about all the dodging of questions and double-speak BS he'll have to do that day, and he'll just sit there refusing to move. Kind of like Marge in that Rancho Relaxo Simpsons episode. Aids will come in to try and talk some sense into him, his wife or kids will call to give him support, but he won't hear any of it. He'll just be sitting there watching Bloomberg as people scream at him, wondering why he ever thought this was a good idea.

Seriously, watch for it. There will be a blurb about Romney missing or being late for something. That's will be it.

Goddamnit. Look, I have no issue if you're religious and pious and whatnot, but for the love of your goddamn farking god, will you at least try and act like the moral person you proclaim yourself to be instead of a self-rightous douchenozzel? What is wrong with helping your fellow man? When did that become the epitome of evil in this country? When did those that are the followers of the one true god decided that "you know, Jesus, who I love and is the savior of mankind, tells me to love my neighbor, I'm gonna say 'fark you' and stomp on his nicely manicured roses"?

Its farking helping people, you dumbshiat! Its paid for by the goddamn mandate so there goes your "oh god, it's gonna bankrupt the country by being unfunded!" argument. You want to stand up for what you claim you believe in? Then come out against the PATRIOT Act or the TSA or a hundred different other things that have taken away the rights of man. What? You can't because they were done under your guys watch? Does that make it right now? Well fark you, you santorum eating biatch. You want to be the moral righteous douche that you are, then farking do something right for once!

*deep breath*

Okay, Santorum, dumbass, take a look around you. People like being healthy, and they like affording the ability to stay healthy, so if you want to be a pain in the ass and spread lies like santorum all over this damn argument, that's fine. But those of us who have to suffer from your crap spewing mouth because there are those who still believe you, well we'll kindly tell you to fark off because you don't have to worry about paying for your family's medical expenses. Oh, I'm well aware how disgusting and hypocritical he is...

But man, that pisses me off. All these farking twats bloviating about something they know nothing about. None of these assholes talking shiat about the ACA or MassHealth have probably ever had to decide between buying groceries or filling a prescription. None of these assholes have any idea what it's been like for the folks hanging onto the ragged edges of the middle class in this country for the last few years. They gleefully try to gut any service or program that primarily helps the poor and middle classes while practically giving greedy assholes like Jamie Dimon head on National TV.

I mean really... fark these people. Put them all on a barge, float it out into the Atlantic and scuttle the motherfarker for all I care anymore.

Romney was a failure in Massachusetts that's why we should make him president!!

I guess you can put that on a bumper sticker.

So far reasons why we should vote for Mitt are:

He failed at the healthcare reform in Mass.
He also failed modernizing how government works in Mass. (this is according to Romney himself)

These are the reasons to vote for him?

Santorum is still a little butthurt about losing all his momentum because I really think he thought he was going to get that nomination. He speaks out about Romney an awful lot, almost as if he's forgotten that he is not still campaigning for the nomination.

If anything, you would think people in Mass would want Obamacare to hurry up and get here, so they aren't subsidizing all the freeloaders from neighboring states flooding across the border for health care anymore.

I don't think most Liberals care how you arrive at universal health care as long as you get there. If the States lead it, instead of the Feds, I don't think Liberals would give a shiat because it would get done.
