The only time it's okay to have vertical video is when you play classic arcade games:

Verical
Video
Syndrome,
Huh?

If
you
hate
it
that
much,
why
did
you
write
it
vertically?

Every time I see a vertical video, I think the person shooting it is an idiot and the content probably not worth watching.

I'm stupid? Probably. It just seems like such a trivial thing to get upset about so I just went for it.

Happy Friday.

The problems with "First world problems" and then showing the image of that child starving and the vulture is that A) It's terribly exploitive of that child, B) It shows you really don't give a shiat about that child or his situation, you just want to make a point as brutally as you can, and C) You fall victim to the fallacy of the hidden middle. Suddenly, the so called first world can fix no problems UNTIL we can solve starvation everywhere in the world.

"First world problems" is mostly a fallacious argument.

No shiat. Every one knows it's 'white people problems'.

Fwiw, I dislike "first world problems", but I commented because of the use of that picture. There is a time and place for it, but well, ... anyway.

Enjoy your Friday too.

God I missed the point.
I chose that picture because it came to mind that people have real problems with life and death consequences...and here we are b*tching.

I didn't think it was a bad thing to post. Nothing wrong with perspective. Maybe it'll convince people like hippyneil to tone down his hate, and look at it more as funny than annoying.

Isn't that a cheap ass way to get around copyright detection? Kinda how people flip the video so the screen is reversed?

Either way... Sucks.

What sucks is that at this point, I think with MovieClips help, almost all interesting clips of movies have been removed from YouTube leaving only "fan-made" backyard reproductions.

Not just the entire movie, or significant chunks of the movie, but even 10s to 5 minute fair use clips.

I know. I want to see a music video of some song, now or one that came out a few years ago, whatever, and I click and it's just spa still from the video with the audio of the song. I may be dumb, but I don't come to YouTube to see amateurs doing the things I love.

I go to youporn for that.

I didn't know that, and it maybe just apocryphal, but I could understand it. Link

It's a terribly horrible image. A pulitzer prize winning photo to be sure, and please god, should you exist, please look over the rest of the child (a girl) and the photographer.

The photographer, Kevin Carter was just a two months older than I. Link

Pretty sad right now, but thank you for letting me know about that.

I need some more whiskey. Though it's the last thing I need.

From the link:

Found in his diary: Dear God, I promise I will never waste my food no matter how bad it can taste and how full I may be. I pray that He will protect this little boy, guide and deliver him away from his misery. I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests. I hope this picture will always serve as a reminder to us that how fortunate we are and that we must never ever take things for granted.

Hey, I have the power to at least help one kid, but better to leave it here and pray for god to do so.

Farking religious persons.

i am annoyed by people uploading tv clips and putting their little windows movie maker intro on the front "chris93 productions presents" or the guy that downloaded the demo of final cut and mindlessly smears preset wipes, effects and templates on their video and the comments say "wow great editing"
