I'm going to give everyone a hint here: The summer's coming and the weather gets better, and you all think you're happy because of it. Wrong.
It's because you're not watching Ted Moseby wallow through his whiny little biatch life once per week. He sucks. He friggin' sucks. Ted Moseby is a stupid shiatty downer and he sucks and he takes the life right out of every room he's ever been in. The sorrow must end. Someone's going to have to off that guy and I'm glad it's not me who has to do it.

/True Story - 9 out of 10 people who watch How I Met Your Mother reruns every night will kill themselves. I swear.

fusillade762: No Gregory House?

House seems quite happy being discontent.

I would say that Al Bundy was not really down in the dumps. He was more or less resigned to his fate, however there were plenty of times he was able to rise above the mediocrity and be a total badass

"Grouchy" is not the same as "down in the dumps".

///tickled that the article picked up on "Skipper" from SATC.

///Ted from "Scrubs" wins, hands down.

Would Charlie from It's Always Sunny... qualify? Because nothing has ever seemed to go right for that kid.

Mr. Breeze: List fails without Dennis Leary's character Tommy Gavin from Rescue Me.

Neil on The Young Ones

www.wearysloth.com
DS Ray Carling on Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes

media.screened.com
Marvin the paranoid android, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Baldric from Blackadder

Vincent van Gogh on Doctor Who
(OK, van Gogh was Dutch and the scene was set in France, but the actor is Scottish and it was filmed in Wales for a predominantly British audience)

I had totally forgotten how gorgeous that woman was. Never did understand why they had her character do what she did.

It also referred back to the scene with Lee in a raptor flying from New Caprica to orbit when she accepted his proposal of marriage. She knew it wouldn't last and intended to enjoy it to the fullest while she could. Implicitly, she decided before her final dinner out with Lee after finding Old Earth that she was going to blow her brains out, and wanted to enjoy the evening to its fullest before doing so.
