It's the Philippines, so it might be actual cheese (you know, the stuff with milk in it?). I think this is a good idea -- I think cheese (or the cheese-flavored stuff they use here) is disgusting on sandwiches. A hot burger or chicken sandwich is ruined when they put cheese on it, even after asking for "no cheese". At least in this case I can just toss the top half of the bun. Not great, but better than the current alternative.

It's immaterial to me as long as directly above is cheese or mayo and directly under is the other. Why? Because it will keep a nice juicy burger from soaking up the bun. Thanks, Alton Brown

In this age of touch screen everythings, including phones, this is not something I would eat. There are thing I avoid eating with my fingers now because of the residue that then smears up my phone. Cheese like this would make the list.

What happens when you get one to go? Do they put it in a box for it to stick to or go straight for wrapping it?

Filipinos eat their burgers using the wrappers to hold them, not just holding them in their bare hands. So this would be doable, sort of. Not that I'd want to try one.

Cheese (sharp cheddar, please) is melted on top of the meat. Lettuce and tomato above it and mayo on the top bun. Pickles and mustard underneath. No ketchup or relish. Tartar sauce to dip the fries in.
