Well, Fort Wayne is a pretty "small townish" kind of town, ie, everyone knows almost everyone, especially if you are born here.... and she as a news person probably has had occasion to interview him, so, she probably felt, especially in an inebriated state, that she had some sort of "media status" to talk to the police chief and "get out of" any trouble.

"And now, here's a traffic update with Mary Collins Frank. Mary?"

"Thanks, Bill. Looks like the roads are a mess tonight, what with me weaving across Jefferson Boulevard and screaming drunken obscenities at the top of my lungs. A year or two ago I was in the drive through of a bank, and a group full of unsavories (read: a bunch of dudes who look like they just got back from a masonry job and/or prison) driving a 1980's Monte Carlo were in front of me, and I saw them all drinking beer, right there waiting for the teller to respond. Then for some inexplicable reason (it went hot?) one of the guys opens a door and spills out what looked like a nearly full beer on the ground. Pretty ballsy I thought, as it's one of those 5 lane drive throughs, full on a Friday afternoon, and numerous people were looking at them.

Years and years ago, when I worked at a bank, one of the clerks who used to be a teller said they got an empty beer can in the carrier after the transaction and the guy pushed the Call button and said "Please dispose of that for me."

Many people, many alcoholics even, would like there to be some personal failure or tragedy as the source, but sometimes Alcoholism is the problem, and not a symptom.

i used to date this broad who's sister is a minor TV newscast on-air personality. she was so paranoid about people finding out who her sister was that one's interest was sure to be piqued over time. big frickin' deal.

the sister i dated taught special needs children. she was one of these broads that wears the same exact dress every time you'd take her out. very off-putting. i shut it down after a few dates, i hated that ugly dress. true to form, i rode her hard and put her to bed wet, feeling much like a quivering bowl of wet noodles. she said that when i banged her it was like someone stirring up her brains with a mixing spoon.
