bim1154: Buffet: My heart goes out to the poor varmints. Most of 'em have a lost, abandoned look in their eyes. Perhaps they were never able to rise above their circumstances?

They're all dead.. each and everyone of them... Dead!

Yeah, I thought of that as well. We can still mourn them and their tragic existence.

SharkTrager: The one I feel for is the 10 year old who spent 2 years in prison.

While separated by about 50 years, all one need do is look at Clyde Barrow to see what prison was like. He went in a petty thief and came out a sociopath. While he supposedly never detailed what happened the general consensus was that, as a young man, he was repeatedly raped. And indications are the guards either knew and didn't care or were involved. He was so messed up that his plan goal was to break out the entire prison he served in, although he only succeeded in getting a couple of friends out.

I can't even imagine what would have been done to a 10-year old.

You forget the worst part:

He cut off his own big toe so that he'd be paroled.

After he cut it off (while clearing brush) he was released--only to learn that he was due to be released in a few days anyway.

Walker

The button on his fly even seems to be broken. Or maybe he just forget to button it.

No, he's just ready to tell the always hilarious, "How does a one-armed man count his change" routine.

All the time I looked at these I kept laughing at the hack photoshop job to make the pictures look "old tymey". Who looks at those and says, "Ima gonna sepia the fsk outta these!"

"Richard Rimmington was convicted of stealing a pipe from a shop and was expected to serve 14 days with hard labor. He was spared his sentence when his parents agreed to pay costs and the resulting fine."

Man did that kid get a 19th century beating...

Probably the same thing they do to 10 year old boys at charitable foundations set up by important philanthropists in the central Pennsylvania region. They fark them in the ass and tell them to shut up about it.

They all look a bit jaundiced.

Walker: James Scullion was sentenced to 14 days hard labor at Newcastle City Gaol for stealing clothes.

Well of course he had to steal clothes, look at his. They are falling apart. The button on his fly even seems to be broken. Or maybe he just forget to button it. One of the two.

Things have sure changed. They're not allowed to publish the names of minors convicted of crimes anymore.

Those kids look....different.

Why are you looking at that kid's crotch? Are you a cheerleader coach, or something?

Someone would like to have a word with you...

A lot of those kids probably came out of orphanages or were abandoned by their parents if they even knew them. Others were being coached by their parents to commit crimes. People have posted about the beatings they got on release and that may very well be true, beaten for being caught. The seedy underside of English society stunned many foreigners who visited England at this time.

brimed03: Molavian: dennysgod: Kids doing hard labor for stealing shoes, bed-linens and clothes. This page is a Republican wet dream

That's odd. I thought that taking stuff other people had earned was a distinctly Democratic behavior.

I disagree with your opinion but will laugh to the death at how you stated it.

Seriously, touche, +1 and all that.

Touche indeed.

Doesn't releasing pics of minors violate there civil rights?

Not pictured: Drug possession charges, resisting arrest charges, or people of colour

shiat has definitely changed over the past 150 years

because at this time many were still in chains?

No, I think folks are deluding themselves in thinking a black person would have actually been 'arrested' if accused of a crime. Lotta holes dug behind the barn....
