Hey, Ilgauskas had a decent NBA career. He's no Kwame Brown or Darko Milicic.

Pretty good stuff. Jermaine O'Neal is not the most overrated superstar of his generation, unless Stephon Marbury is an earlier generation. Was Steve Francis a superstar?

Admittedly, I don't follow the NBA very much. But, every year at this time I like to reflect on two spectacularly bad drafts by the Atlanta Hawks.

2005: Atlanta selects Marvin Williams with the second overall pick. He was billed as possibly the next Jordan. (Seriously, someone actually said that pre-draft.) The Hawks picked him instead of Deron Williams and Chris Paul, even though they desperately needed a PG. (Frankly, they still do seven years later.)

2006: Atlanta selects Sheldon Williams, despite the fact that (1) he sucked and (2) the Hawks had absolutely no need for another PF. Again, they desperately needed a PG, and Brandon Roy was taken with the next pick. Some guy named Rajon Rondo was also available in the 2006 draft, but I'll give Atlanta a pass on not taking him since no one else in the league suspected he would become that good.

There have been a bunch of rumors in the Atlanta media that the Hawks are going to trade Josh Smith and/or Al Hortford for draft picks. I for one hope they do it, as I would like to be actually interested in this team in the relatively near future.

Celtics picking up the Thunders 2nd round pick was good news.

Kinda surprised they did not have practice for Allen Iverson

Was shocked to see how accurate the originals were, then I noticed the little TNT logo. Made sense.

Iverson looks like he's already biatching about practice in that shot.

Bobby Jones would fit. Detlef was my favorite non-white player.

Apparently the Conference finals only matter when your team is on one of the coasts. Or something.

Arvydas Sabonis was much better than Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

Know what? I'm crediting Milicic for the Piston's championship. If they took Carmelo instead, there's no way they would have won.

The Greg Oden one would have him being really 50 years old and no knees.
