There are caves around here that have Civil War era graffiti in them (they started protecting the caves after that point) and it always makes me laugh at how similar it is to the present day stuff you see scrawled on bathroom stalls or park benches. Except the handwriting is a little nicer.

I took a tour of one of the wall forts on Hadrian's Wall and was vastly amused at the graffiti in the latrine. As others have noted, absolutely nothing has changed in all the centuries since. Most of that writing would not be out of place on the latrine walls at Camp Lejeune or Fort Benning.

Like the stuff in TFA, it pretty much boils down to three topics:

1. Their military and political leaders are idiots
2. This soldiering shiat is getting pretty old
3. For a good time, visit . . .

Actually, yes it would. Military latrines, in my experience, are generally free from graffiti for the most part. When it does appear, it generally gets taken care of swiftly.

So you're concluding it's false because no one would have written BC, seeing as how that term wasn't invented yet. As opposed to assuming that the dates as well as the language would be translated into something we would recognize?

As for whether this is real or not, I'm no archeologist/anthropologist so i can't even begin to guess. But c'mon, dates would get translated to.
