(New Haven Register)   Wanna get rich? Start a school for "fattie class". For 80% of Americans, it's about to be mandatory. Thank you Obama   (nhregister.com) divider line 17

Fat Farm Boot camps!!!!

/Run, Fatty, Run!

You really shouldn't make fun of them while they exercise. If you discourage them from doing that, you're almost working to keep them fat, which is really in everyone's worst interest. In all other circumstances... use your own judgement.

For Children, we need to make the streets safe. Death for child molesters, child pornographers and a constant monitoring of all websites that have this content. Use them as honey pots to bust the guilty. Round up the gang bangers and execute them all. This will allow parents to let their children outside to play on their own. Reducing Obesity. Obesity in children has more to do with safety then it does with any other factor.

Yes, Shaq is fat, and given his height and weight, it's likely that one day it will kill him. It's going to get worse now that he's no longer playing basket ball.

Hobo Jr.: But make it for something that deserves to be ridiculed like ordering 10 pounds of fried chicken and a diet coke.

But if you're gonna eat 10 pounds of fried chicken, it shoudl be with a diet drink damnit!

/ate a full slab of ribs plus double side fries yesterday for lunch, got mocked by a guy with a brisket sammich for drinking unsweetened ice tea. He drank like 5 lemonades, and I'm not even sure I didn't consume fewer calories than him.

To be fair, BMI of 30 is pretty fat. That's about 100 kilos for someone 6 feet tall, i.e. 220 pounds. I mean, you're not fat albert, but you should be very aware that your weight is a problem at that weight.

No, I just think of the headline and remove reason and accountability.

I have just developed a new "fitness" regimen:

Every time there is a fark fat thread (tm), I lift weights, do pushups, and do crunches until it gets boring.

Seriously, how dare the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force not work on job creation!

I agree. And the Dept. of Forestry should totally get to work on unemployment.

theflatline: I am 42 years old. I am 5'2 130 lbs. I swim 20 minutes 4 days a week, and walk 2 miles twice a week. I eat about 3000 calories day.

I work with a 25 year old girl, same height who weighs 275 lbs. Who is trying to go on disability because she has fainting spells do to her blood pressure, who eats candy and chips all day long, and when her doctor told her she had high blood pressure and she needed a low sodium diet, she told him to piss off.

So if you want to kill yourself with your poor habits, do it, but do not expect the rest of us to pay the bill.

How dare you judge her choices in life?

davidphogan: kukukupo: Our "Obesity problem" has very little to do with nutrition, IMO.

An American can very easily spend the entire day sitting in a chair and staring at a screen. 20 years ago, that hardly ever happened (except for the wierdos).

20 years ago you think it was rare for people to sit at a desk for most of their day? Are you living in the 80's?

STRUGGLE!

BarkingUnicorn: NobleHam: Required to be covered by health insurance =/= mandatory. Your doctor may have to recommend it to you, and your insurance will cover it, but no one's going to force you to go fattie class.

If you can be forced to buy health insurance, surely you can be forced to use it.

If they can put you in jail for having a plant, a NATURAL THING!, then they can put you in jail for anything!

zomg, shoes will soon be illegal. Feeding babies will be illegal!

Damn you fartbama! I should have listened to that Jewish guy who claimed Obama was a Saudi plant. It's all true. He may well be the antichrist. SOROS!

Thus....you are stupid.

Somebody is getting rich off of all this gluttony. Why not tax those corporations and individuals like it was 1955? They can pay for the medical costs. That would shut everybody up (except the victims of the new costs).
