That's just sick.

It should be hot oil wrestling.

They should be trying to get each other off, the first one who orgasms loses.

Gatlin should be thrown off the team. I don't want this guy representing my country.

Let's just get this out of the way: what's his Fark handle?

Shut up, Gatlin, you cock.

Have a contest during half time of a WNBA game, nobody watches that and around the same audience will watch them compete. The amount of sponsorship money coming to either one will be the same, unless Subaru ups their marketing budget.

Not acting like a jackass is only the very first item in the USATF National Team Athlete Statement of Conditions. I can see how he missed it.

Why is this even a big deal? Just run the race again. This could easily be settled on any high school track.

FTA:
"The fact Felix and Tarmoh have worked just as hard as Gatlin to get to the Olympics as sprinters should be thrown out."

I hope they haven't worked "just as hard" as Gatlin, or we will have to throw them out.

If the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls' sports, such as hot oil wrestling, foxy boxing, and such and such.

I agree. Imagine the nerve of this guy, wanting them to wrestle in red jello.
It would seriously clash with the skin color of those black girls; you wouldn't be able to see anything. Either go with lemon/lime or vanilla pudding.

Wait so suggesting a physical competition is now lower than suggesting a coin flip?

The fact that they are "deciding" between a coin flip and a run off is the stupid thing here. Who doesn't just go back and run again later that day?

It's for third place in the US, neither of these chicks will even make the final. Make them run and be done with it.

They should flip a coin in order to decide whether or not they should flip a coin or run again.

/or they should use prelim times like anyone with common sense would say

Hell, women's track is already the middle tier between the real Olympics and the Special Olympics. Cant we just give em both participation medals for how hard they tried to compete with eachother, let em both stand on the shortest box listening to the star spangled banner, shake their hands almost like they accomplished something, then completely forget about em for another four years? We'd do it for cripples and retards so why not for them too?

If you are on the US team in any race 400 and other, you have a legit shot at the finals.

Prelim times make the most sense (I voted for them in the previous thread). They work for any race under 10k. For the other four races can use season bests (though currently they would likely be moot by not enough having the A standard).

Prelim times don't really make sense because they only ran fast enough to win/get second in their heat. If one was in a much faster heat than the other, those times don't reflect the best they can do.

omgwtfbbq!: Prelim times don't really make sense because they only ran fast enough to win/get second in their heat.

Guess they should've tried harder then, knowing that it's a tiebreaker.

But what you're saying is that they should be allowed to not try their hardest in a really, really short event, and then we shouldn't use that against them.

/I still say give it to the heavier one, since her legs were moving more mass

They make more sense than a potential coin flip...

It would keep it in the hands of the athlete and keep within the scope of the scheduled competition. Clearly no athlete would (or should) change their approach in the prilims just in case there was a tie; but it is simple rule that can be used in the future.

Gatlin is dumb.

It was an asshatted thing to say, but this really needs to said: finding women sexually attractive is not objectification. Thinking that women should only be used for sexual gratification is objectification. Confusing the two means you're getting ejected from the big kids table. Get it right.
