Very proud of this, the father came from my Zoo. These animals are so amazing and those bastard poachers keep plugging away at them. FYI Asia, Rhino horns are not magicalunicornmakeyourpeepeebiggerhorns.

I guess it's good they aren't born with the horn.

We have the same mentality here. It's the exact same thing just a slightly different spin. I am talking about non-evidence base medicine and "health" practices. Our current flavor is plants, plant extracts and minerals for the most part, but don't think for a moment that animal parts or extracts wouldn't take off in the great snake oil market. One must consider the effects of harvesting "natural products" on an ecosystem. While it might not directly kill these animals it does destroy food, habitat and may introduce more people to an otherwise remote area. People who need to eat and might turn to bush meat in addition other harvested foods.

This is one of many reason there needs to be more education about health and medical care. All the more reason to support evidence based medicine. fancy crack-pot cures are possibly just as bad in the long run as those buying rhino horns and dead babies.

I'd be spreading around a rumor that some rhino horn has been 'contaminated' that makes the penis develop blue spots that turn into painful weeping sores, then the penis shrivels, turns black, eventually falling off.
