I love me some Jena Malone. She was amazing in "Saved!"
Heck, she was mildly amusing in "For Love of the Game" - best scene is when he gets on the team bus with her and the teammates hold up signs guessing how old she was.

I'd rather see Jenna Maroney.

I never realized just how hot Jena Malone was until Sucker Punch. Rocket was definitely the hottest of all the girls.

I know it's a highly unpopular opinion, but I fully enjoyed Sucker Punch. The movie had some huge flaws, I admit, but it was insanely entertaining to watch.

For me, it definitely fell into the "I enjoyed it, but I know it isn't good" camp for me. Also,

It was definitely the most polarizing movie between my friends and I of last year. I said to my wife as we left the theater, "I really liked this, but I have a feeling not many people will. It'll find a cult audience on DVD, though."

Turns out I was pretty much right.

I'm glad that you did. I had sky-high expectations going in,which were promptly-no,sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly-destroyed in short order. So much potential wasted. I now have serious reservations about Zach Snyder flicks.

One open question about the character is whether director Francis Lawrence will keep Johanna's introduction from the book, in which she first meets heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) naked - save for her green slippers.

Meh, it was one movie. Nobody's perfect. The guy made Watchmen, one of my top five movies ever, so he gets a permanent pass from me.

It could like,...be both too. Anyways good for her. She's been great in everything: saved!, Donnie Darko, for love of the game, and suckerpunch was a lot of fun if watched in imax with zero expectations

Saved! is one of my favorite films. It's got a great cast (yes, even Macauly, he was pretty good in it), it pokes fun at extreme Christianity while still being respectful to the true word of God, and there are some astoundingly funny lines.

Cassandra: There's only one reason Christian girls come down to the Planned Parenthood.
Roland: She's planting a pipe bomb?
Cassandra: Okay, two reasons.

/Ever notice that Mary Louise Parker's boyfriend in the movie later becomes her short-lived husband in Weeds?

Would be awesome, but I doubt it. Remember, the novels/movies target audience is teenagers and NBA superstars. Now, will there be a porn equivalent of the second movie? Prolly. Will I watch it? Most definitely.

I'd be fine with this casting. I loved her in Saved!.

I'd still really like to see the role go to Kristin Bell though. I think she could pull off what's required- damaged, broken girl who can fool people into thinking she's sweet and innocent right before she kills them with an ax. And she's a huge fan of the books and she's mentioned wanting the role.

2012-06-26 07:05:19 PM

You neglect to mention the scene afterwards where Katniss and Johanna begin passionately making out, stripping off all of Katniss' clothing as they fall on the be-

Oh wait, that was my fantasy while reading it. Never mind.
