That's the part the article that got me too. The first time I read it, it almost seemed to imply that when he went on his internet scavenger hunt, he found out she was some random model. The fact that he's able to Google-fu enough to find her name and address with only a few pictures as reference, tells me that he is at least of average intelligence.

That part just had a creepy vibe of... "Well, this model woman didn't have anything to do with it.. But, since I can't get the guy in SA, if he's even there, might as well go for this 'slut'. It's her fault for posting her pictures on the internet in the first place, right?" I never got the impression that he thought she was involved somehow, but was just a convenient target.
