I really don't like peanut butter/chocolate combinations, but a close buddy of mine out here works for Hershey's and has been bringing over Reese's like they are going out of style.

I believe they are either already being sold in stores or will soon be.

Something to look forward to for you Japanese Farkers.

No, seriously, if such a thing existed, then for your safety sake, don't stand between me and them.

Don't even joke about this. It's like discovering a new kind of orgasm.

I actually find this entire headline in extremely poor taste (no pun intended) kind of like teasing a two year old or teasing a puppy.

I had a book report assignment in high school. I chose Upton Sinclair's The Jungle as the book.

While reading the book, I had a half pound bag of Reese's Pieces that I grazed at while reading.

Reese's are now associated with industrial sausage-making and are forever ruined for me.

Samoas lord over all your paltry cookies!

And yes, Thin Mint fans the spawns of a silly Satan. Why be a fan of a cookie that you can buy by the case in any grocery store for the same price you're paying for a couple dozen from the Girl Scouts? You can't find Samoas EXCEPT with the Girl Scouts (at least I've never been able to).

Dark Chocolate M&Ms are the best inexpensive candy around here.

And Tagalongs are the best GS cookies imho, so if I see the Crunch version of those I'll give them a shot.

You do know that cavities are a bacterial infection and aren't caused by sugar, right?

Kissing someone with a cavity is more likely to get you a cavity than eating all that candy.

At least the GS have a decent product. My son had to sell that expensive crappy popcorn for Scouts. For the last few years I would just write a check to the Troop and skip trying to sell that stuff.

bingo! sisters were Den Moms, i found out the Troop makes absolute squat on the cookies. oddly enough, i've never found them receptive to accepting a direct cash or check donation - so fark 'em. can't help people if they won't let you.

very close. those bacteria eat on things like sugar. so eating candy will not give you cavities AS LONG AS you brush your teeth soon afterward to keep the bacteria from feeding on all that sugar

also this...this year i bought popcorn from my cubicle neighbor whose grandson is a scout. very delicious popcorn, but far too expensive! the bs need a deal like the gs...their cookies are expensive enough, but i don't feel ripped off at $4 a box like a do $12 or more for a bag of popcorn

I remember getting a Marathon bar and a quarter for shoveling my neighbor's walk in the winter. This was the late 1970's, early 1980's.

I can remember it like it was yesterday.

They are real. I bought some last week, in fact. The article is wrong, though. The Thin Mints aren't the best, the caramel-coconut (Samoa-type) are. Those were gone in a day; the Thin Mint-type box is still about half full and sitting on top of the fridge. (They sell them both in individual bars and in boxes of mini-bars.) I found them at HEB.
