8 seasons isn't "too early."

Anyway... Titus.

Great show, and Fox canceled it because they didn't have the balls to deal with the subject matter.

It's Your Move

epguides.com

It lasted only one season, which was a shame, because it was totally hilarious. Jason Bateman was PERFECT as the scheming, obnoxious brat.

Good list. That covers a whole lot of it.

Pope Larry II: Dead Like Me
Sledgehammer!
This is Wonderland
Traders

While I appreciate the CanCon, Wonderland had 3 seasons, and Traders had 4. Sledgehammer! is the only one that meets TFA's criteria. I loved all of those shows, though, good picks.

Twin Peaks went a year too long. A bit obscure, but I liked Stephan King's Golden Years. I also kind of liked Alcatraz. What can I say?

A bit difficult to bring back, seeing as Dermot Morgan wanted the show to end (to avoid being typecast as Father Ted) and died 24 hours after finishing the filming of the last episode...

No one ever remembers the short lived David E Kelly drama on Fox, Boston public which featured several very delicious looking actresses including Jeri Ryan and Michelle Monaghan. The show would have been little more than another run of the mill drama set in a high school, except for the fact that every single character was flanderized to the max, and the stories just kept getting more and more outrageous each week. It's was seriously the most batshiat insane show on television when it was on, the disconnect between the serious tone of the show and it's ludicrous characters and storylines is something that has never been repeated. If you took a group of pro-wrestling writers and told them to book an hour long drama, you'd get this show. It was great for the short time it was on, but then Fox dumped it on the Friday Night Death Slot and it's since gone forgotten about.

Short lived?

It was on for four years.

Three and a half seasons, it was canned in the middle of Season 4 with several loose ends staying untied. Either way, it was cancelled too soon, they could have easily cranked out several more years of storylines based on where everything was headed.

I actually enjoyed that show. The devil was a slick character.

Stargate Universe was getting interesting. Caprica, Arrested Development (although I hear they're bringing it back...I haven't checked lately), Deadwood, and MST3K (despite the full run it had).

G vs E.

Goddamnit so much. Not popular enough to make it to DVD; I farking LOVED this show. To anyone who hadn't seen it, it was a quasi-blaxploitation fighting demons with a slick soundtrack. Stupid? Yes... but... it was just awesome.

Don't biatch about UK shows that don't go on for decades. If a show only has a dozen perfectly crafted episodes enjoy them. They try lots of things and avoid flogging dead horses.

/Still waiting for the next batch of Red Dwarf\
//Will settle for two seasons a year of QI

FirstNationalBastard: 8 seasons isn't "too early."

Sure it is. There's plenty of shows that had enough meat to keep going without dragging. 8 season of the Simpsons isn't even the half way point.

Norm show- This was just too damn good to be on tv. The father from Alf playing a coked out boss (which isn't too far off from his real persona). Nikki Cox (fark the Faith Ford episodes.) Artie Lange as his half brother. "Give me the internet" is one of the funniest scenes of all time.

Becker- had Terry Farrell and Saverio Guerra not tried to go on strike, they wouldn't have been canned and replace by Nancy Travis and the fat guy from lost, which killed it. Easily would've been a 10 season show.

Dinosaurs- Kept getting their time slot moved around.

Mr. Rhodes - I like cheesy sitcoms, sue me
