Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz told reporters both Rove and GOP strategist Mary Matalin were making the crowd howl, telling them about when Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a friend with bird-shot pellets on a hunting trip.

Nothing like conservative humor. Too bad Whittington didn't die! They could have brought the house down!

The fun part is when two competing companies want to buy the same whore.

She's gotta have something in her closet, otherwise I can think of no rational reason why, when McCain's team was on their "If we nominate a woman as VP we'll scoop up all those disaffected Hillary voters" kick, they came up with Sarah Palin, but apparently never, even for a minute considered a woman who was a conservative darling and former Sec of State and head of the NSC

This was covered on Colbert Report. Colbert and Jon Stewart sat at the same table, talking to each other and totally "not coordinating" about the type of ads that Stephen would "hypothetically" like the Colbert SuperPac to air. And Colbert's lawyer said the conversation likely didn't qualify as coordination under Citizen's United.

At the time, I thought a jury would disagree. But someone is going to have to challenge under that part of the law before we get any answers.

No, it shouldn't.

Why? Because his presence or absence has almost no bearing on whether Super PACs are good or bad. Ask yourself, if Rove hadn't attended, would you be a-ok with American Crossroads Super PAC? Would that convince you that no coordination was occurring? Would Super PACs in general become bright, and good, and pure, and wonderful, if only Rove hadn't attended?

Anne Cox net worth: $10 billion

Children: Two daughter and one son

Likely Will Winner: The Democrats

Anne is the 90-year-old daughter of James M.Cox, the newspaper publisher and huge Democratic party supporter, and the owner of his company-Cox Enterprises. Today Cox Enterprises includes Cox Communications cable company, 17 daily newspapers, 15 TV stations, 86 radio stations, Manheim auctions (cars), and AutoTrader.com. Anne has two daughters from her first marriage and a son from her second so it's quite likely they will inherit large sums.

But Anne's main passion is the Democratic party, of which she is a huge financial supporter. She served as Jimmy Carter's Ambassador to Belgium from 1977 to 1981 and made vast contributions to Obama's campaign during the presidential race.

So Rove attending is better or irrelevant? It should bother people. It's exactly the kind of collusion the law says shouldn't happen, and it's being pretty openly flaunted. It should highlight one of the many flaws in the system.

FTA

Another thing many attendees weren't expecting? How up-close and personal they would get with many of the stars of the party. Chaffetz pointed out that he saw many donors excitedly taking their photo with possible vice presidential choices.

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, South Dakota Sen. John Thune, and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan were all on hand.

Larry Conti who came with his friend, a bundler from Los Angeles, as his plus-one describes himself as "a big Paul Ryan fan" and was thrilled to meet him. Conti thought he would impress his friend when he took a photo with Ryan, who introduced himself to him as "Paul," but instead the friend told him he had just spent 10 minutes talking to Ryan in the bathroom.

Awesome. This in no way confirms my belief that the leadership of this country is being handled in an environment identical to a 10 year highschool reunion.

Don't these assholes have jobs, and lives? Hanging around getting giddy about a photo-op with Tim Pawlenty? What the shiat is that? How does a person behave in this way one moment, and in the next moment believe themselves capable of holding an informed, considered opinion on matters of national policy? What the fark does it mean to be 'A big Paul Ryan fan'? What the hell kind of life do you have if spending 10 minutes talking to Paul Ryan in the bathroom is a major highlight?

Assholes. Oh wow! The important people talked to me! They took the time to shake my hand, look me in the eye, and remember my name for the whole two minutes we were standing there! I'll never wash this hand!. In some bizarre way that I cannot actually figure out, this somehow validates my life and makes it better!

Per TFA, Condi was a total hit with the rich donors at Romney's retreat. She is popular with conservatives, and she has the credentials to be President.

She's not white, which the GOP can shout proves they aren't racist. She's not a man, which the GOP can say proves they aren't conducting a war on women.

Rumored to be not heterosexual is probably the sticking point, considering what happened with Romney's gay staffer, Grenell.

Plus, the last time the GOP went with "not a man" to get the "not a man" votes, the "not-men" instead voted for the "not white" candidate. So this time, fark 'em.
