it's a start

I don't see what the problem is. The police did him a favor.

Wow. Thats like 10 levels of farked up. Kenny Chesney looks like a normal person. I don't know much about his music, but he seems like an all around good guy who hasn't taken his fame seriously.

I have to believe that at any Kenny Chesney concert there are tons of people that look just like him. He's not doing the David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust thing, ya know. Kinda the opposite.

Also, what morons would go to a Kenny Chesney concert and thing he's sitting in the crowd?

Especially since Chesney is believed to be "hitting opposite field" in country music circles. Not sure why a guy would risk the ridicule from his buddies trying to imitate Chesney

2012-06-25 03:14:04 PM
He should have really started a commotion. "Help me, Ya'll!!! I wanted to come mingle with my fans before the show but if'n they throw me out ya'll wont get none of my good ole music!" Maybe a riot?

2012-06-25 03:21:38 PM
$200 ticket? I would have said "$600 ticket. For which I fully expect to be reimbursed, pending lawsuit."

/If by "impersonating" you mean "got up and put on clothes" then yes, he's totally impersonating that guy who puts on clothes!

2012-06-25 03:23:05 PM
I somehow think that this will all turn out ok for the guy. Kenny will probably hear about it and do something really nice for the guy to make up for the hassle. Like offer to tongue his asshole or cum on his face.

2012-06-25 03:31:52 PM
Yep, he kinda looks like dick too.

2012-06-25 03:37:11 PM
He's trolling country music concerts. He's ok in my books!

Yo dawg, I heard you like Kenny Chesney...

Or if you watch the video until the end you hear that it was probably Chesney himself who said he was a disruption and asked for him to be removed.

Was the look a like 5'2", cause unless he's shorter than he appears in the pictures in the article, the first clue that it was not the right guy would be that he's not as vertically challenged as the real dude.

pretty much every concert has That Guy that dresses up like the lead singer. every dead show i go to there's always one fat guy with a white beard trying to so very hard to avoid being noticed: "hey! izzat jerry garcia?"

And I've seen any number of Bono clones at U2 shows. the funniest was a guy who.....i'm not picking on short people, i'm not even 6' myself -- but.......he was maybe 5'2", thereabouts...and he was fully Bono'd out: baggy black jeans, clompy black shoes, eurotrash leather jacket, and blue tinted wraparound shades. and he physically looked like bono. we called him "Mini Bono".

Well depends, if you hate being neck deep in whatever orifice you like to stick your dick in then I'm sure it's got to be hell.

Same thing happened to me at a Lady Gaga concert. Of course, I was wearing a meat dress at the time so I don't blame them.

He put on a cowboy hat and jeans to go to a country music concert! The vandal!

Seriously Chesney wears T-shirts, jeans and a baseball or cowboy hat on stage. What is the dude supposed to wear to NOT look like that.

"Sir because your facial structure is similar to Mr. Chesney you'll have to put on this tuxedo so no one confuses you with him"

I would say if this guy showed up with no hat and a regular t-shirt that didn't expose his "guns", stayed in his seat instead of walking around (to be seen no doubt) this wouldn't be a problem.

bono is only about 5'6" or 5'7" anyway, according to varying things i've read...5'2" is hardly a "mini-bono"

Geeze - cant blame a guy for going to a concert and trying to get laid. Im pretty sure thats why anybody goes to these things. It cant be the music....

either way, my group got a huge kick out of MIni Bono.

another fun story from that night....we were in the inner circle for the "Claw" show, and before showtime, there was a guy in front of me, i'd say he was about 60. i mean, not old but.......not exactly U2's demo. This guy had to be 60 (and i'm pushing 40, i can judge). Just throwing brews, too. him and his old lady.

this chick probably in her 20s was going by, and she sees him, and she squeals "OMG! it's so cool to see you here! Are you a U2 fan?"

with a perfect pause, he takes a beat and with a country drawl, says "naaaaawww.....i just thought I'd pay $90 bucks to stand here for 4 hours...."

and everyone within earshot began howling with laughter.

/csb
//i guess you had to be there
////so he and mini bono were the pre-show entertainment i guess

very funny!

i have known of folks who went to concerts just for the sake of going and getting drunk with friends though. one of those "too much money" syndromes

Was the guy as bald as Chesney? I don't mean a shaved head kind of bald. Maybe he could have taken off his hat and proven it?

/nothing wrong with bald, just sayin'.

CSS: I took my 10 year old to a Metallica concert. The nicest crowd of people. We couldn't navigate to out seats so some monster of a guy parted the crowds like Moses. Then the guys in front had my guy stand on their seats so he could see better and did beer runs so I didn't have to leave the kid on his own.

2012-06-25 05:35:22 PM
This guy was running around Music Fest 2 weeks ago with a Tim McGraw look-alike. From what I heard he didn't say he was KC... but he did let people take pictures with him.

I say there's more to this story and it probably would be a disruption if he was trying to pass himself off...

That's a lawsuit.

According to these pictures, any guy who looks like a thumb with a hat on it "resembles Kenny Chesney."

2012-06-25 06:04:13 PM
Truth: he knew he looked like Kenny Chesney, he dressed like Kenny Chesney, and he went to the concert KNOWING other people would think he was Kenny Chesney, too, so he could be the "OMFG, it's Kenny Chesney!!!" guy.

Truth: management overreacted.

Aren't "look" and "alike" two normal English words? What's with "look-a-like"?

Worse is when you see a look-a-like for a band that's not even there. Especially at a dinky local club. Can't tell if it's hero worship or trolling. "Holy crap! It's so and so at our crappy town's club! I can't believe s/he's here to see obscure band name goes here! Maybe s/he'll take the stage and regale us with one of their fan favorites!"

I'd have to think it gets them laid once and a while. "Hey, babe. I may not really be your favorite star but I look like them. How about a tribute/cover fark?"

Not to sound ancient but I've witnessed this phenomenon en masse at Lollapalooza '94 (100 + Trent Reznors) and later at Warped '96 (every 3rd girl was Gwen Stefani). Neither band was at either of those shows.

Depending on the venue, it might well be someone from a tribute band. My friends are in a Journey tribute, and their lead singer actually wears a Steve Perry wig to go on stage with (it's goofy as fark, but when you sound as much like him as he does, it can be pulled off).

Firststepsadoozie: This security team would've shat their pants at a KISS concert.

THIS! :P

Roger Waters dresses like a homeless person and pushes a shopping cart around the floor before shows begging for change. It's kind of hard to miss the 12 person security team following the "homeless dude" but the effect is off putting.

Then, during the show you have the honor to sit in your $450 seat and be called a greedy, consumerist asshole by a half million dollar flying pig.

It was awesome.

Doesn't he usually go out into the parking lot to meet the tailgaters before a show?
