Plug tag on vacation in Nepal I guess.

I think it would be more interesting if you had to actually hold on for dear life and then jump into a lake or maybe a small pond at the end.

Meh, they managed to take the "most extreme" zipline and make it look incredibly boring.

First thing I thought of. So because you are awesome, I give you:
The real Wheee! video, complete with gonads and strife.

What I was thinking. Danger was the "Great Slide Ride" at Bluemountains in Collingwood, Ontario. They had a concrete bobsled run that ran down the length of a small mountain. They'd send you down in these sleds with a small hand brake to slow you down. Problem was the corner were cut to shallow, and if you had sh*tty hand eye co-ordination (or were too young or old) you'd just as likely go shooting out of the corners at 80 + km/ph. They finally shut it down in the mid 90's because so many people got hurt. I loved it, but it was like playing lawn darts blindfolded.

As soon as I saw the graphics for the opening credits I knew I was going to have to start skipping ahead to find the action. And skipping ahead again. And again. And then, well, "meh".

Actually I would be happy where you go face-first lying down, Superman-style.

I hate heights, especially dangling feet heights.
Weak knees when watching high tower videos and all.

I'd probably do this, though.

So, what if you get stuck?

2012-06-25 01:21:20 PM
That looked kinda boring. I was hoping to see someone go down there at full speed.

We had this here in Jersey back in the 80's. It was called Action Park and that sled run was SICK. Even as a kid, I couldn't believe that the powers-that-be allowed it to be built at all in the first place. The thing was ridiculously dangerous and I saw a BUNCH of people get smoked on it hard- like ambulance ride hard.

Can't even imAGINE that kind of thing existing now.

Two minute video, typically shiatty video music, actual zipping doesn't start until 1 minute in, then they made it look boring.

Well done!

Ok, sir- perhaps I should've been more accurate. I couldn't imagine that HERE in NJ. WAY too many lawyers.

They made it look boring because after the initial rush leaving the gate, they were bored. You can scream for a bit but then you take a breath, remember its perfectly safe and just have to wait it out.Try not to twiddle your toes or let your mind wander.

/vacation slides are still boring as videos

Historic banning mills will make you sweat. holding on for dear life is a lot more sublime than sitting on a diaper harness. Oh yeah, osha doesnt operate there...

What i meant is that all US zip lines have to abide by osha regulations since the workers use the lines as well. scary but safe

Now, THAT's ziplining, biatches!

I'm the same way, but....

i50.tinypic.com

when I went to Nepal I went Parahawking. I thought I was gonna scream like a little girl, but as it ended up...

i46.tinypic.com

I had a blast jumping off that mountain in the background. It didn't hurt that my pilot was a cute Finnish expat girl.

Another person who tried it wasn't so lucky. One of the lines fouled and they couldn't get it unstuck, so the poor guy was stuck hanging from his armpits until they could get down to a landing site. The worst my flight had to deal with was dodging water buffalo upon landing.
