I would suggest that this researcher has set his standards too high. Women are becoming thicker, and that means they aren't the frail twigs they used to be.

If he's afraid of a real woman, there are still plenty of us out here who appreciate a woman with womanly curves.

I am sure they are all big boned and eat very healthy, or have a thyroid condition.

Look, if I can't touch my thumbs and middle fingers around her waist, she's just not skinny enough. I have big hands, so I'm not being unreasonable here, I was promised hourglass so hourglass is what I'll get!

Why is the Archbishop of Canterbury tagged up top? Was he a chubby chaser?

Wouldn't surprise me if this was less an actual weight issue and more of eating the type of garbage that goes right to the waistline.

2012-06-25 09:51:52 AM
Let's try that again.

Stupid article. Gives a number for healthy waist size (less than 80 cm), rather than the more correct and proportional "smaller'n the booty."

Researchers found that the average waist measurement for women is 4.9cm larger than the healthy size of less than 80cm.

85cm (~33.5 inches) is the average?? That seems really high.

machoprogrammer: I am sure they are all big boned and eat very healthy, or have a thyroid condition.

I remember when I saw my first "fat" skeleton during a historical dig in some peat bogs. Those bones were gigantic. This is a very real problem, those bones can create the illusion of muffin top or backboobs while the person isn't fat at all. The resulting stigma placed on the big boned person could lead to emotional eating which might lead to actual obesity.

I did not, was active on it for a couple of years, reasonable results.
Were most women on the site larger than I prefer? Yes.
Were there a significant number who were not larger and who interested me on other fronts? Yes

Have you seen women these days? Especially from Texas? Fat or sloppy looking -- especially in the gut -- biatches. Hell, they even made a show about fatties and how it's "sexy" look like a burlap sack on HBO (Girls). It's like these walruses are having some sort of revolution...it's farked, and my penis hates it.

At least here in Colorado our women generally take care of themselves and still look good (we are always rated #1 or close to it in healthy, fit and attractive adults). However, I am worried the fatties and their fattiness will spill over and our women will forget their places that they are to attract us males for seeding by look like this:

"The waistlines of more than half of women are too big, experts have said, as they warned those who are overweight they are increasing their risk of cancer and infertility."

That second risk is nature's way of saying "You shouldn't be reproducing, lard-o".

Could be a precursor to ovarian cysts and cancer. That's not good.

I wasn't afraid of what you're calling "real" women until I tried to have drunken sex with one who liked to be on top. My thank-god-still-in-one-piece pelvis says never again.

The 80cm cutoff for "healthy" converts to about 31.5 inches. That's just under what the US would call a size 16. That's well into what is now considered the plus-size range, but it doesn't even approach what people would typically think of as obese.

You know the fashion industry just uses those sizes to make women feel insecure about their bodies.

There is a difference between health and husk. and as a guy who is trying to take care of his body, i'd like to find someone who at least tried to do the same. And that means being a healthy weight, not just a farking rail or a blimp.
