it's difficult to explain to non-central Pa people just how pervasive and fanatical PSU football is in these parts. Right or wrong, Sandusky seems to be getting all the blame for tarnishing the good name of Penn State football....that's kind of not a good place to be right now.

Any institution that is so wrapped up in f*cking football deserves to crumble. Overlooking blatant abuse for the sake of a sport and the money it brings in? Do not have any illusions. Penn State will continue to protect child rapists who make the dollars rain as long as it is allowed to continue as an institution. Its management and staff will only learn their lesson if they are forced to personally pay for this by losing their jobs and possibly serving prison time in the general population, not a white collar country club.

Penn State needs to be shut down - preferably Arthur Andersen style so that other schools that pull this - and there are many others such as The Citadel - will know what the consequences are for them when they get caught.
