Blow by Blow is the only album ever that I have bought on LP (twice, I wore the first copy out), 8 track, cassette, and CD.

He certainly has a unique sound and technique
Crossroads 2007 - Cause We've Ended As Lovers

BTW, Tal is just awe inspiring. She still looks like some 16 yr old HS chick. First time I ever saw/head of her was on Live at Ronnie Scotts

Tal Wilkenfeld awesome solo

George Martin's production gave Blow by Blow such a fantastic sound. When I was living alone back in my early twenties (about twenty years ago) I had that vinyl playing every night.

And I still have the vinyl copy, along with a CD and digital copy. Vinyl still sounds the best.

When I was in high school for my senior year art project in 1992 myself and another guy painted a mural of Jeff Becks Guitar Shop album cover. The art teacher left it up for almost 20 years.

I'm so old, I remember when Beck-Ola was released and it still ranks among my favorite albums--It's hard to beat Plynth (sp?) and Spanish Boots. He's made a ton of great great records. Damn, I feel old.

All that and the Fox news show. What a talented individual.

I was lucky enough to see Jeff do Day In the Life in person at the 2007 Crossroads show. It blew me away how great it was.

I was a little disappointed in 2010 when he ended his set with Over the Rainbow from Wizard of Oz....I wanted to see A Day In the Life again.

Very cool. I liked how they handled the ending too. Very impressive considering that the original consists of an orchestra with each instrument individually playing from its lowest note to its highest, played backwards. Allegedly, Paul asked George Martin to have the orchestra "just freak out", and George had to explain that classical musicians do not "freak out", and he had to orchestrate the whole thing.

Also, this is one of my favorite songs to unwind to last thing at night.

A lot of those photos and videos out there are from a few years ago. She is starting to look older. Which should be of zero influence on whether she is a good bass player.

I'd like to drag a girl such as herself back to a plastic hotel room... and rip her off for spare change to run a ...to run a vibrating machine attached to this N-size, bulk-purchase, kapok-infested, do-not-remove-tag-under-penalty-of-law type bed and, and make her take off all her little clothes... until she is nearly stark raving nude (save for her crome-with-heavy-duty-leather-thong peace medallion) and make her assume a series of marginally erotic poses involving a plastic chair and an old guitar strap while I did a wee-wee in her hair And beat her with a pair of tennis shoes I got from Jeff Beck...

Jeff Beck is actually one of my favorite guitarists and I really like the Blow by Blow album, but I never thought his playing or that album were that "amazing" or "the greatest". There are other guitarists who are jaw-dropping (not naming names or starting the pointless "who's the greatest?" argument), but I just like Beck's playing.

I love the Blow By Blow album, too. But my favorite Beck song is Morning Dew, with Rod Stewart singing.

Page is a washed up clown and Clapton has always been the King of Hacks but Jeff Beck just keeps on putting out interesting stuff year after year.

Love Jeff Beck, fan all of my life. Lotsa good guitar players in the world. Buddy Guy is great, Phil Keaggy as well, the late Randy California. . .

Just cannot conceive of a linear ordering method by which they could be ranked.

On his first U.S. tour (with Nicky Hopkins) Jeff didn't pay the rest of the band but, instead, took the money, bought a cool car and flew home to England. Years later he was still bragging about not paying Nicky Hopkins.

/ Yes, I have the interview where he says that.

Meh, you got to be able to separate the douche from the player. If I couldn't do that, I'd have a LOT fewer people to listen to.

Sorry, I can't separate the douche from the player. I hear Jeff Beck play and all I can think of is, "there's a dickwad that farked over his band." Sorry.

Lately I can't stop listening to Jeff Beck Live with the Jan Hammer group...no better variety of "Freeway Jam" exists.

The man (Beck) is a true genius...great music with JH and what's funny is the two can't stand each other.

Couldn't afford a good reel to reel recorder. And there was no reason to have anything less than a good one.
